Snowman Flipper

A final Lawn Fawn Flippin' Awesome card for the season.  I'm sending this to one of my great nieces. Grand niece?  Damn, I'm feeling old.

I used lots of Doodlebug Designs paper from a pack that's probably 3+ years old. I notice their current Winter Wonderland pack has similar colors.

I used Copics to color up the Sunny Studio Feeling Frosty images. Snowmen make for such fast coloring--perfect for the holidays!

I stamped the Lawn Fawn Wavy Winter Sayings onto one of the coordinating dies for the sentiment.

I added some Lawn Fawn Mini Snowflakes to the last scene.  Shoot!  Why didn't I add them to the other panels.  Would have been even cuter!

Holiday House

I thought the Honey Bee House Builder Base dies were so clever so I decided to give them a go. Wow!  I made my card in the shape of a house but it fits perfectly on an A2 card front if that's how you swing.

I used the Haunted House Add-ons too--the roof and tree. The add-on comes with different window shapes etc. so each of my houses can be completely different!

I used the greenery die from the original set to create swags and a wreath. The berries are Enamel Accents. Hmm, that bow.  Pretty sure it's Lawn Fawn. I used Scor-Tape and Doodlebug Design glitter for the frost and this chunky glittery stuff a friend gave me to try out. Blingy!

Whimsy - Boo Boo Dragon

As you may know if you're a regular, I've been experimenting with colored pencils lately. Earlier this week I showed an example of my first use of Polychromos pencils.

This time I'm using Prismacolors with the Whimsy Get Well Dragons set.  I was so excited when this  set was released. Usually the dragons are single images in red rubber but this time it was an entire photopolymer set. Woo hoo!  You should go check it out along with the rest of the release!

Anyhoo, I stamped the images with  Distress Oxide Vintage Photo or Memento Tuxedo Black. The sentiment is stamped with VersaFine Onyx Black.

I enjoyed using the Prismacolors but I do find them harder to blend than the Polychromos. That could also be because I only have the 48 pencils set but have the full PolyChromos set (thank you, Santa!). There were definitely bigger jumps between shades.

I used PC901, 903, 909, 910, 912, 927, 929, 935, 938, 941, 992, 1027, and 1084.

I think the results were great--the vibrancy of the colors turned out amazing. I'll definitely keep my Prismacolors and will continue to use them to supplement my watercolor and Copic work.

Mondo Amaryllis

I received Polychromos colored pencils from Santa this year and have had a fine time playing and experimenting.  This is my first attempt, using the Ellen Hutson Mondo Amaryllis by Julie Ebersole set.  Not too shabby!

The image and sentiment are stamped with Versafine Onyx Black on kraft cardstock.  I used Polychromos 124, 126, 157, 158, 194, 225, 266, and 267.

Cheesy Christmas

Say cheese!  I love this set and already had the holey card front in my stash. Seriously. I seem to save about everything.

I stamped and colored the Sunny Studio Merry Mice directly onto the card front after sketching where the openings were. I love them peeking out every which way.

I added paper-pieced accessories to some of the mice using the Sunny Studio Very Merry 6x6 paper. I used my Posca pen for additional fun details.

Alpaca Flipper

I decided to make additional flipper cards for some family members.  Yes, I am insane!  At least these were leftover kits from crafty day so I didn't have to spend time finding papers. Whew!

The images are Sunny Studio Alpaca Holiday from last year. I recall this is around the time when their stamps went in a different direction and I became a big fan.

The papers come from a variety of sources, mostly Echo Park Celebrate Winter.

I lucked out with the paper choice for the larger flipping squares. Those had a nice flipside so I used them as is.

For finishing touches I used the Lawn Fawn Tiny Gift Box Holiday Hats  (Santa hat), Sunny Studio Merry Mice (earmuffs), Lawn Fawn Mini Snowflakes, Lawn Fawn Simply Wavy Banners, and a Posca 0.7mm white paint pen for wool.

SOSS #150 - X is for X-rated Christmas

Oh, my, it's the naughtiest time of year over at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers.  Are you ready to wow us with your x-rated Christmas cards? I swear we won't tell Santa.

My card was really simple to make.  I took a piece of leftover watercolor card and die cut a Hero Arts Ornament out of it. I mounted (ha!) that on Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Christmas paper.

The images are from the Snark Attack set and colored with Copics.  I printed out the sentiment using my Dymo label printer.

Whimsy - Peaceful Cabin

Today's Whimsy card seems so homey to me, like I'm tucked away in that cabin enjoying winter vacation.  Dreamy sigh.

I started my card by stamping the card base using Distress Oxide Salty Ocean and the Tartan Plaid Background. That blue and kraft gives me the feels!

Next I stamped and embossed some of the Glitter Globe snowflakes onto the background.

I die cut the Mountain Majesty dies out of white and added glitter cardstock mountain tops. I sponged Distress Oxide Weathered Wood on the mountains, Evergreen Bough on the trees and Vintage Photo on the cabin.

The sentiment is a masked portion of the MFT Peace, Joy and Love stencil in DO Vintage Photo and Broken China.
