ATSM #474 - Any Occasion

My card for the latest Addicted to Stamps & More Challenge #474 Any Occasion is a redo of sorts.

Waaaaay back in 2015, I created a mixed media tag using this tree but never got around to using the tag so decided to make it into a card and send it out this year.  

I used a stencil to create a hill, stamped the deer, then popped the tree in front along with an embossed sentiment.

I was kicking myself for waiting too long to get the Memory Box Bundled Bird which I had spotted at my local shop but wanted to wait until it went on sale.  Of course, when I went it was gone.  BUT, it turned out my sister had bought it!  Insert happy dance.

It's rainy and gray so I needed some color, lots of color, on my latest Birch Press Design card.

ATSM #452 - Christmas

It's Christmas time at the Addicted to Stamps & More Challenge this fortnight. Like I need a reason to make a holiday card but any nudging helps!

My card changed a LOT from how it started in my head.  I sponged the base with Distress Oxide Salvaged Patina and Mowed Lawn over a letterpressed snowflake design but it just didn't work for me so I added a layer of Tim Holtz Idea-ology Christmas Collage Paper on top, securing it only on the back for an additional translucent effect.  

Of course, I ripped it accidentally while sponging a little Distress Oxide Vintage Photo on it (the tissue was a little damp) so I tore a few extra spots to make it seem intentional.

The Honey Bee diecuts are sponged with Distress Oxides except for the greenery which I used DO spray to color up quickly.  Everything got a spattering of water and Copic Opaque White.

I added some WOW! White Puff Twinkle embossing powder as well as glitter pen on the roof, soffit and branch.  I cut the Avery Elle Happy Tags Joy out of Doodlebug Lily White glitter cardstock which I popped on top of the heart which I colored with Copics (BG11, BG34). So pretty!
