For my card I created a magical little scene using Tonya's favorite color--PINK! And my favorite part of the card is the way the brick transitions into dream clouds. So cool! I also love the manga style image. There's just something about those giant eyes.

If you've seen pics of Amy, you know she's a tiny thing.  So how could I not use my new Love Cynthia with that abso-perfect sentiment? I was all about balloons thanks to the recent CASology anniversary hop so mounted the diecut girl with foam tape on the MFT Happy Bday circle which provided the perfect spot to tuck in the end of the twine. I looped it because Amy is all over the place--squirrel!  I also used lots and lots of green, her fav color.  Have a wonderful birthday!

Still playing with my new YNS sets. How could I not. This time--negative coloring! Or whatever it's called. I layered the top panel with a matching layer beneath to give a tiny bit of depth to the letters.

Happy Birthday, Kate

Today we are celebrating the birthday of our cardmaking buddy, Kate of Pinned and Penned. Kate is the queen of layered collage which is so not my area of expertise so I used elements that reminded me of her work--the textured background, the banner, the unexpected pops of color. CAS and (virtually) collaged!  LOL.

Today we are celebrating Lisa Lara's birthday--woo hoo!  Lisa has taught me a thing or two or three about coloring so I knew I wanted to color up a cute image for her.  Lisa is also the queen of CAS coloring so an ultra simple layout was in order. Isn't that bear so cute popping out of the box?  I had great fun doing no-line coloring, particularly that bow.  Fun = what was I thinking!  LOL.

Today is the birthday of my crafty gal pal, Lenae!  Happy birthday, girl!  Lenae works up amazing interactive cards, one of which you will see on my blog, eventually (I still have to color it up the make 'n' take), so I knew I wanted to make an interactive card for her.  This one took quite some thinking and doing and a bit of cursing, but so worth it.  LOL.  I hope you like it, Lenae, and I hope you have a fabulous day!

Happy Birthday, Tonya!

Happy happy happy birthday to my friend, Tonya!  Tonya is a kooky gal who makes me laugh.  She's also my enabler with her store, The Heart Desires.  THD has been open just a few months and has been a dream of Tonya's for a long while.  May all your wildest dreams come true, Tonya!

For the card I die cut the Smitten Kitten designer paper -- love those pierced edges and Tonya loves pink so how could I not use this paper.  Then I stamped and colored up the fairy.  It's easier to see in person but the yellow I added to the blue shade of her tunic and underskirt lend them an iridescent look.  The wings are sparkled up with some Wink of Stella too.  She is a fairy after all.  I next masked her off and sponged fluffy clouds using my homemade cloud mask.  The best part of the card tho?  It lights up!  Look at her glowing wand when you press her skirt.  Such a fun surprise!

Happy Birthday, Amy!

Today is Amy Tsuruta's birthday!!!  Happy birthday, girl!  If you know Amy, you know she loves pineapples--both in her mouth and on her cards.  We were talking about them a couple of weeks ago and she mentioned that she had amazing pineapples on a vacation she took with her momma to Mexico.  I didn't even know they grew them there, did you?  I hope her vacation consisted of lots of pineapples and beach time!

For my card, I had diecut the Stampendous sunflower a while back with my Cameo PicScan mat--that was an adventure, let me tell you.  I watercolored it with Zigs over a layer of Recollections watercolor crayons.  I hadn't realized those crayons had a shimmer that shines like cray-cray.  The 3D embossed background has such luscious texture that really makes me want to love and stroke the card and call it George.  Yum!   Btw, if you like the look of the Next Level folders (and why wouldn't you), you can get them at The Heart Desires.

Today we are celebrating our very own Laura Norris' birthday.   Laura is so very sweet and kind.  I hope you have a wonderful day, Laura!

For my card, I used some leftover Lawn Fawn plaid--oh, how I love it!   Using the quilt die really mimicked making a quilt.  I've made a few quilts and always enjoyed choosing the colors and textures and design far more than the actual assembly.  Press'n Seal and Scor-Tape helped immensely in that regard.
