Whimsy - Ho Ho Ho

These new Whimsy Stamps Hey Ostrich images CRACK ME UP!  They are so darn cute and funny at the same time. I decided to Christmas them up using a Santa hat I fussy cut from the Gossip Holiday Girls set.

I decided to use Tartan 6x6 Paper behind the openings in the new Slimline Swiss Dots Die. I thought the plaid went so well with the neutral ostrich colors and that fun red hat.

I used the Bold ABC Dies to cut the "HO HO HO" from brown cardstock. I added some Stickles as snow as well as a few sequins for snowflakes.  I may need to mail this card to myself this year, I love it so much--LOL.

Whimsy - Funky Frames

Some people know that I wish I could have a pug but it would need to act like a cat and not have any of the problems the breed is known for--so no pug for me in real life but I can color up as many as I want!

I'm using one of the Whimsy Stamps Wrinkles pugs with the new Funky Frames Dies to create a fun shaker.

I used a few sequins and dog bones confetti from one of the Paws and Bones Border Dies. I cut out the card front with a Wonky Stitched Rectangle Die, created the shaker, then added the Wrinkles sentiment and paw print.  Isn't that so cute?

Whimsy - Linking Train

I think I know a certain little boy who is going to love his birthday card using the new Whimsy Linking Train set.

I totally thought of a circus when I saw the train cards so colored them with really fun, bright colors. Did you notice the train tracks? The stamp is so easy to match up I was able to create a long track without a hitch.  Without a hitch--ha!

Wouldn't it be cute to add a character to the engine car window? Of course, I think of this after the fact. LOL.

You still have time to snag some of the latest release so why don't you take a gander at the other new goodies in the Whimsy shop.

Whimsy - Pink Uzuri

I love everything about this card, including the new Whimsy Stamps Polka Dot Pals Uzuri. She's such a sweet image, don't you think?

I colored her with Zig watercolors and used a Marvy Snow Marker on the coat collar and hat puff. I love that texture.

I also love the texture and shine of the glitter paste I used with the fabulous Whimsy Twinkle Stencil on vellum that I diecut with a Wonky Stitched Rectangle Die.  The different sized stars really work well with the Blurry Flurries paper I used on the card front. I used a leftover of the same paper to create the You're My Jolly sentiment strip.

I continued the snowflake glitter theme using glitter cardstock when cutting out some of the snowflakes from the Whimsy Elegant Snowflake Border Dies. So sparkly and pretty!

Now be sure to check out the other new goodies in the Whimsy shop! There's so much eye candy!

Whimsy - Donkey Selfie

I have to admit that I was so tickled to be able to work with this Wonky Donkey set from the latest Whimsy release. My partner love donkeys so this is my little homage to his royal weirdness.  LOL.

I stamped and colored the image then sponged Distress Oxide Peacock Feathers around it after masking. I spattered a bit of water and also used the Twinkle Stencil along with white pigment ink for a bit of glam.

I was imagining a filter applied with the filters on your phone, or in this case the Selfie Dies. He's going to get such a kick out of this one. Men!

Whimsy - Cutie Elf

Oh my goodness, I think the new Whimsy Jingle All the Way set is beyond cute!

I decided to stamp the image directly onto the Blurry Flurries paper tho I had no idea how the paper would handle Copics. Turns out I had nothing to worry about.  The paper didn't make the Copics bleed nor was it hard to blend. Woo hoo!

Embossing the sentiment was my final step--I love how that silver looks with the blue.  So, so pretty!

Be sure to check out the other new goodies in the Whimsy shop!

Whimsy - Winter Wonderland

Have you checked out the latest Whimsy Stamps mini release?  You totally should.  It's full of cuteness!

Here I'm using the Magical Winter set, coloring it up with Copics on a panel I had diecut using a Wonky Stitched Rectangle Die. I then used the Elegant Snowflake Border Dies to diecut the panel.

I applied Doodlebug Design glitter beneath the snowflakes then glued the snowflakes back down. Whew--that was time consuming but I love the results.

Whimsy - Fairy Sweet

Today is the first Whimsy Stamps mini release for November and it's full of cuteness, maybe even more than usual.  Can it be?!

Here I'm using the Fairy Sweet rubber stamp along with the Elegant Snowflake Border Dies.

First I stamped and colored up the fairy, no line style. I then masked her and created a messy, spattered background using Distress Oxide Salty Ocean, Blueprint Sketch, Chipped Sapphire, and Tumbled Glass, topped off by the Elegant Snowflake Border Dies.  I used both the border and the individual snowflakes.

The cuteness is too much!  I'll be back with another new release card soon.  In the meantime, be sure to take a gander at the other goodies in the Whimsy shop.
