BRI - Birthday Bugs

Are you ready for cuteness?!  I recently picked up the Sunny Studio Crepe Paper Streamers dies and Lawn Fawn Cloud Background Stencils from Butterfly Reflections Ink which I paired together with some additional Lawn Fawn critters sets.

I curved the Lawn Fawn Simply Celebrate More Critters bugs so that they would follow along the Lawn Fawn A Bug Deal branch more or less. It wasn't at all hard to do.  Ooh, notice that I trimmed off the top branch because I'm a lazy sod who didn't want to deal with real masking. LOL!

For the sentiments I used a combination of stamps from the Lawn Fawn Simply Celebrate Critters and A Bug Deal sets. Don't they work together well?  Duh, it's Lawn Fawn!

ATCAS #243 - Shapes

Addicted to CAS Challenge time! This round we're asking for you to use shapes on your card. I used a rectangle on mine but also repeating circles/dots. 

I used a Taylored Expressions Create in Quads Layering Stencil set that I mixed, matched and further masked to create a simple card.  I embossed the sentiment in white then embossed the card panel with the Stampin' Up Linen EF which is sadly discontinued.  It's a great one tho.

ATSM #451 - Make Your Mark

Well, I started out the year with high hopes that I would have made a substantial dent in my holiday card stash for this year by now.  Umm, not so much!  I'll keep at it tho including this card for the latest Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge #451 where the current theme is Make Your Mark.

I really like how this one turned out using the 2022 Purple Onion Design Stacey Yacula collection. So darling!  It's hard to capture on camera but I used lots of WOW! White Puff Twinkle Embossing Powder for snow and it has such a lovely sparkly texture.

I'm entering this in Peace on Earth Christmas Challenge #44 and The Crafter's Cafe #299 Christmas in July.

BRI - Holiday Postage

Hello!  It's Christmas in July for my latest Butterfly Reflections Ink card featuring the amazing Postage Collage release from Waffle Flower.  

I paired the Christmas stencil with a Mama Elephant diecut sentiment and Lawn Fawn Woodgrain Background Hot Foil Plate which I used to emboss the card front.

Btw, it's very easy to cut the individual stamps apart using a pair of scissors or rotary cutter in my case. Check out that look versus how I left the panel intact on my second card.

I further changed the look by using Distress Oxide inks which have a much softer appearance than the vibrant Cathererine Pooler inks I used on my first card.  

I'm definitely going to be adding the Postage Collage Dies to my favorite go-to products.

SOSS #239 - L for Lindsey

This fortnight at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers #239 we are honoring our sistah, Lindsey, who passed away last year.  I still can't believe it. :(

Lindsey was a fellow cat lover so I used one of my favorite cats for this card. I modeled it after my ginger cat who is so so sweet but also a smartass.
