Hello, friends!  Today I'm guesting over on the Whimsy Stamps blog with a unique and fun Halloween card. Caveman Zog cracks me up. I hope you take a moment to check it out.

For your convenience, I've listed the products used at the bottom of this post.

And, don't forget that the Whimsy Stamps Annual 31 Nights of Halloween blog celebration starts on Friday. You'll see me there for sure!

Have a great rest of your week.  I hope you get some crafty time in!

Dual Foil Poinsettias

My goodness, these cards were hard to photograph.  I used a combination of silver and opal foils (background poinsettias).  I couldn't capture the opal shine but at least you can see where it is.  It's a beautiful combination. Can't have enough shine, right?

I'm entering ABC Christmas Challenge S for Stencil or T for Two (in my case, dual poinsettias in the foreground and background).

ATCAS #207 - Autumn

Are you ready for another Addicted to CAS challenge?  The code word for challenge #207 is "Autumn" which is soooo up my alley. Crisp weather, kaleidoscope leaves, cozy clothing--I'm all for it.

I masked a semi-circle on my card base and sponged it with Distress Oxide Salvaged Patina and Carved Pumpkin. I love that overlapping area with its hint of green.  Blending magic!

I used the Sunny Studio Harvest Mice set, coloring the images up with Copics.  I had a helper while making the card too. Maybe he noticed I was working with mice?  LOL.

Little tip: I edged the Ocean Tides card front with Scor-Tape then used the leftover gold foil to create a gold border.

Shimmery Fall Leaves

Isn't the Honey Bee Autumn Splendor Cover Plate ahmazing?! Fall is my favorite season and this is a welcome addition to my stash.

For the first card I cut out the cover plate from Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock then sprinkled Lindy's Magicals and a touch of Brushos onto the leaves. That shimmer is to die for!

I sponged the card base with Distress Oxide Salty Ocean for that brilliant fall sky.

I had masked the edges off but still had some seepage so used gesso to paint the border.  I then added the Honey Bee Autumn diecut and sentiment.

The second card was super simple, leaving the coverplate diecut in white on a backdrop of Carta Bella Flower Market paper. I cut the Honey Bee Fall diecut from the same pad and added to the sentiment using Versafine Vintage Sepia.

I've never tried doing ombre with powdered watercolors (Lindy's Magicals used here) and am very pleased with the results. Just dreamy.

Bloom with Grace

I feel a bit boastful to say this card is amazing but, damn it, it is!  It turned out exactly like I pictured in my head, minus the smudges in the upper left and lower right corners.  Hmm, although that's not uncommon for my cards so I shouldn't be surprised with the smudgies!  LOL.

I used the Pretty Pink Posh Pretty Petals stencil with Distress Oxide Salvaged Patina on a pale aqua cardstock. I spattered that with Distress Oxide Black Soot and Carved Pumpkin as well as Copic Opaque White and a bit of water.

I then stamped the Pinkfresh Studio Be Strong images with Versafine Onyx Black and watercolored them with Zig Real Brush Markers. I used a few Copics on the backside of the acetate foiled with the Pinkfresh Studio Small Butterflies image.  I nestled the embossed sentiment among the blooms and called it done. Oh, wait, almost done--had to add some sequins!

ATCAS #206 - Leaf

It's time for the latest Addicted to CAS #206 Leaf challenge. Come play along with us!

I put on a pair of my beloved Costco disposal gloves, available again after a COVID hiatus, and dabbed Tim Holtz Alcohol Pearl DeceptionAlchemy, and Sublime Inks directly onto the Honey Bee Stamps Maple Leaf. I love how that turned out!

What Do Penguins Say?

Aren't these Avery Elle Christmas Critters penguins adorable? I was making some cards for one of my DTs and made an extra for the heck of it.  How could I not?  So much cuteness!

Squirrels for Your Birthday

Fall birthdays are so fun to design for--could it be because fall is my favorite season?! Mayyyybe.

This card was easy to work up.  I used Lawn Fawn Into the Woods 6x6 Paper for the background and the Lawn Fawn Leafy Tree Backdrop Landscape.

Once I colored up and positioned the Lawn Fawn Let's Go Nuts images (soooo cute!), I stamped the sentiment onto a Lawn Fawn Simple Wavy Banner.  Notice the banner's orange shadow?  That's also Lawn Fawn Into the Woods 6x6 Paper.
