Whimsy - Bunny Baby

Aww, how sweet and cute is the new Whimsy Stamps Bunny Babies set? Just adorbs.

Let's start with the card base. I used a piece of Eggstra Bunnies 6x6 Paper, cutting it out with one of the Wonky Stitched Rectangle Dies.

I then stamped the bunny image and colored it with Copics to coordinate with the paper.

I diecut the bunny using a Spring Ovals Die. It got lost on the background paper so I sprinkled some Primitive Shaker Shapes Die stars cut from glitter paper beneath.

As a last step I stamped the sentinment with Versafine Onyx Black onto one of the Quick Strips Dies.

SOSS #156 - K for Kids

I'm so proud of myself--using both kids (baby goats) and kids (children) for this fortnight's Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge #156 K for Kids! Rather apropos given the current world situation.

I stamped, masked, and watercolored the goats then decided to add a background. Yes, rather back-ass-ward of me. I sketched the fence and watercolored it, added some grass and used a stencil to sponge in the clouds.

Oh! I did use the head from one goat and Frankensteined it with the body of another so I could have two kids hopping on its poor, poor mama. LOL.

Flippin' Babies

Today I'm featuring a baby card I made for a coworker. Her nursery theme is woodlands so I used woodland creatures with a gender-neutral palette (she's since had a girl!).

I used the Lawn Fawn Flippin' Awesome dies and Add-On to create a little storybook. I used a variety of coordinating 6x6" papers including Doodlebug Design Spring Things, Doodlebug Design Milk and Cookies, and Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid.

I stamped the Mama Elephant New Family images with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored them with Copics. They're sooooo cute!

For each panel I created a unique scene using paper, vellum (to tone down the bright heart paper), and Lawn Fawn Stitched Tree Borders and Simply Grassy Hillsides. This turned out so darling!

Whimsy - Baby Elephant

Can you believe it's June already and time for the Whimsy Stamps release? Time is flying! Fortunately age is just a number and you are never too old to be loved!

I stamped the Whimsy Baby Ellie Cuddles image on Strathmore Bristol Smooth Paper using VersaFine Onyx Black. I then watercolored it with Zig Real Brush markers. I love those chubby pink cheeks. Insert squeeze.

I die cut the image using one of the Whimsy Pierced and Stitched Circle Dies. What an adorable vignette and plenty of room left on the card front to show off the American Crafts The Color of Memories 12x12 paper.

I even, amazingly, had solid paper that coordinated in my stash. I used that on the card base as well as for the sentiment banner which is cut using one of the Whimsy Quick Strips dies. The Whimsy Don't Shop Dogs sentiment is stamped in Versamark and embossed with Ranger White Super Fine Detail Embossing Powder.

I stamped the Trinity Stamps Succulent Banner image with Versafine Onyx Black onto watercolor paper and colored it with Zig Real Brush Markers. Voila!

Whimsy M1 - Baby Dragon

Oh, my goodness! The Dragon Egg image is simply adorable! And quite a timely Whimsy release for me since I just learned of another pregnancy at the office. They say they come in threes so I best prepare myself for one more baby card this year!

I started the card by diecutting the Up in the Clouds dies. See how they are both stitched on the outside and pierced on the cloud itself? So brilliant!

I sponged the background using Distress Oxide Mustard Seed, Picked Raspberry and Peacock Feathers. I spattered that with water before adhering a few of the pierced clouds with Ranger Multi Medium Matte.

I colored up the Dragon Egg image using Copics and nestled him down into the largest cloud diecut. Isn't he so cute!

CDD Mini Release - Balloon Parade

Over at Craftin Desert Divas, we're having a special mini release for a new Holiday Border Die set, featured yesterday, and the new Balloon Parade stamps that are the focus for today.

The moment I saw Balloon Parade, I immediately thought of pairing it with March On. And with the grass from Outdoor Landscape Dies 2. Honestly tho, the latter is because I was tired of coloring so used the grass as grounding. Lazy sod! LOL. I'm using this for a baby card I need for the office but I could have paired it with a different background and had it be for a general celebration too. Love that versatility!

Notice the clouds? I used the cloud die from Scene Builders as a mask. Such a soft and pretty effect.
