Simon Says Diecember Release

I went with a modern touch using the fabulous Simon Says Aidan Snowflake. It looks just amazing with the Simon Says Luxe Glitter Silver and Black Cardstock, doesn't it?

As you can see the glitter used on that cardstock is chunkier than the background fine glitter from Doodlebug Design and is so so blingy fabulous!

GOAT Birthday

I've been into making birthday cards lately, including this one which says "I hope your day is the GOAT (Greatest of all time) inside.  So cute!

I was able to use up some leftovers too like the tree backdrop, fence, leaves and cloud (actually leaves from the LF Tree House set).

Collecting the Holiday Tree

I was trying out various inks with the Concord & 9th Winter Wonderland Stamps.  These inks included Imagine Brilliance, Distress Oxide, Distress Ink, Catherine Pooler, Versafine Clair, Hero Arts, and Concord & 9th.  The pigment type inks worked the best followed closely by C9 and HA which magically spread out after stamped to fill in blanks.  I used my MISTI in all cases and all inks needed at least one restamping.  Some like the CP and Distress Ink never completely filled in despite stamping 4-5 times.  Just an FYI on my experience and card resulting from the more successful stampings.

Thankful

I hope those of you who celebrate Thanksgiving had a good day, whatever that may mean to you.  Maybe it’s having family over or that moment when family leaves and you can finally relax or just spending the day in your jammies or all of that or none of that.  It’s been a tough year for me but I still have much to be thankful for including being able to craft as a stress reliever and for fun.

Like this card. Do you recognize the stencil I used for the background?  It’s the Simon Says Layering Poinsettia stencil set!  I know, I know.  You never would have guessed.  It’s amazing what a little color change does!

Winter Cheer Mug

I was really struck by a card I saw this morning by Pretty Pink Posh Designer Rachel Arribas.  It is stunning and I had to take a moment to craft this evening to try and capture the mojo.

I put my own spin on it using products I had on hand from the Doodlebugs WA shop (shop local when you can!).  I actually had the PPP mug dies out already as I'd been planning to work on a card for the Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.  AND, I had glass glitter from years ago to mimic whatever Rachel had used.  Kismet!
