ATSM #486 - Make Your Mark

Come join us for the Addicted to Stamps & More! #486 Make Your Mark Challenge.  Did you know there are now descriptions on the blog better explaining the focus of each of our five challenge categories?  Be sure to check them out.

For my card I colored the Pinkfresh Studio Poinsettia Frame using Polychromos colored pencils. I'm hoping to continue to hone my skills.  I did use one of the PFS Poinsettia Frame layering stencils to sponge in the creamy edges.

Letterpressed Poinsettia Cards

Over the weekend I posted some cards that I had made using the Pinkfresh Studio Poinsettia Frame Press Plate and stencils.  Well, I wondered how it would look letter pressed but masked off to only use half the plate.  This required a bit of masking with old washi which was easy enough.  I love the results!

All of the cards used:
  • Pinkfresh Studio Poinsettia Frame Press Plate
  • Pinkfresh Studio Poinsettia Frame Stencils
Ingredients used in addition are listed below each card.
  • Catherine Pooler Be Mine, Sweet Sixteen, Pixie Dust, Flirty Fuschia, Garden Part
  • Waffle Flower Wonderful Christmas
  • Echo Park Plaid Stencil
  • Ranger Gold Embossing Powder
  • Versamark

  • Catherine Pooler Garden Party, Lime Rickey, Pixie Dust, Flirty Fuschia, Sweet Sixteen, Tiara
  • Spellbinders Scenic Poinsettias Embossing Folder
  • Pinkfresh Studio Foiled Sentiments 4 Holiday

  • Catherine Pooler Oh Boy!, Stone Blue, Seafoam, Skylight, Daydream, Juniper Mist

Lots of Noels

I picked up this Spellbinders Festive Noel BetterPress Press Plate on sale recently (clearance for the win!).  I used a variety of inks including Catherine Pooler and Ranger Archival with the intention of watercoloring.

The only one I ended up watercoloring with Iuli shimmer watercolors is the red one.  Who has time for all those tiny details with Christmas practically tomorrow?!  I used a variety of frames, mostly from Hello Bluebird, to sass them up instead.

CAS on Friday #292 - Thank You

For the latest CAS on Friday challenge I used my BetterPress system along with the included plates to create a simple friendship/thank you card.

I added some gold watercolor accents to the stamens.  Love that combo of gold and peacock feathers!

ATCAS #263 - Nature

We're asking you to feature "nature" on your projects for the latest Addicted to CAS Challenge #263.

My card is ultra simple and I LOVE it.  Those blues--swoon!  Also, I used my BetterPress with a snowy hot foil plate, stretching those supplies.

ATSM #461- Make Your Mark

It's time for the Addicted to Stamps and More Make Your Mark Challenge, my personal favorite.

I had gotten the Spellbinders BetterPress Season's Greetings Evergreens at my local shop, Urban Papercrafter in Edmonds, and played around with color.

I used a variety of bright Catherine Pooler inks which worked beautifully with the BetterPress system, don't you think?

After "pressing" (?) all the trees and sentiments, I glammed up the cards using hot foil for the falling snow.  So simple to make multiples and each still unique.  Love!
