HLS Christmas - Festive Animals

It's time for a new Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge with an optional Festive Animals topping. This is the last challenge for now as the owner is taking a well-deserved life break.

I used some Lawn Fawn critters in stockings for my cards.  Aren't they cuter than cute?  I used the LF Moon & Stars Backdrop as well but am questioning that now; it seems so baby kwim.  Still cute tho.

HLS Christmas - Bah Humbug

It's time for another Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge which is always anything goes with an optional topping; this month that topping is "bah humbug."

I got some new goodies from The Greetery, including the Big Beautiful Bow dies.  I paired them with a variety of papers to ever so slowly reduce my paper stash.

I also used different sentiments depending on the layout and my mood.  I particularly like that if you using contrasting paper, you can get two sets of bows with minimal effort.  

I plan to use these bows for additional cards but first want to use some of my other new stuff.  Theoretically.

HLS Christmas - Stencil

For the latest Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge you can go with anything goes or the optional stencil twist.  

I used the Taylored Expressions Bird Party Create-in-Quads August Club stencils for my cards.  I'm a huge fan of Create-in-Quads and am particularly enamored of these birds.  I used them for holiday cards but it would be easy to make them for other occasions.

For each of my cards I used the same inks (Distress Oxide Mermaid Lagoon, Prize Ribbon, Lumberjack Plaid, Vintage Photo) but changed up the sentiments and layouts which made a big difference in their feel.

HLS Christmas - Snow Globe

This month's Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge has an optional "Snow Globe" topping and guess who had a snow globe from holiday sales at the end of last year just waiting to be used?  This girl!

The Poppy Stamps Cabin Snowglobe Pop Up Easel can be used as a shaped card or use part of it for a snowglobe on a card front like I did.  You know I like stretching my supplies so right up my alley.  I like that there are essentially add-on die sets like the Snowman and Trees I used here.

HLS Christmas - Elf

The Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge has an optional elf prompt.  What? Another chance to play with my beloved Stacey Yacula stamps? Well, if you insist!

In creating this scene, I was worried that if I colored the background, it might make it harder to discern Santa and his elf checking his list twice so I stamped it in CP Aquatini so it's visible but not too. Love this effect!

I watercolored the images otherwise, adding some "text" to the mouse's list with a Copic Multiliner.  Note to self:  finally found a use for that Zig Dark Oatmeal color as shading on the sack--go, me!

HLS Christmas - Make a Scene

As you may have guessed if you're a regular visitor to my blog or social medias, I love creating little scenes on my cards and jumped at the chance to create one for the current HLS Christmas Challenge rather than using the Anything Goes option. 

I mega splurged on crafty supplies in December and have been slowly working my way through that new stash. In this case I combined the Lawn Fawn Snowball Fight along with some older sets, including Furry and Bright. 

Look at that pup chasing the snowball. So cute!! I wonder if the one mouse is ducking to avoid the snowball or getting ready to be toppled over by the eager pup. LOL.
