CAS on Friday #319 - Anything But a Card

I'm really looking forward to seeing what people come up with for the latest CAS on Friday Challenge.  A clean and simple project but it can't be a card?!

I was stumped until I got this pillow box die from a destash group and then remembered I had Tim Holtz Frightening Faces dies.  Talk about quick and simple Halloween treat boxes!

ATSM #484 - Any Occasion

Addicted to Stamps & More! is back with our first challenge of 2025:  Any Occasion.  You'll also find that we've updated our blog look with clearer instructions and fresh badges.

I needed to make some thank you cards for holiday gifts received and decided to use a theme plus new crafty goodies--win, win!

The first card is for a friend who loves pink and cute and Lawn Fawn, not necessarily in that order but probably.

This second card uses the cut out hearts from the first card as part of the shaker guts. I normally toss those away before the cats get to them but made these cards in one session and managed to keep them safe.

Btw, this is a minimal shaker in that I didn't pop up the full front but instead just a thick foam dot in the middle so it's shakeable but still mailable at regular postage rates.

For the final card I used my friend's favorite color and tags since she seems to love making those. What a weirdo!  ;-p

Bright Poinsettias

I LOVE the Pinkfresh Studio Poinsettia Frame set!  I've been using it as is for letterpressing and hotfoiling but also masking off part of it to make a single border on a card.  I'll show those another day.

For this one I used the below inks.  You'll find the rest of the products listed at the bottom of this post.
  • Catherine Pooler Oh Boy!, Something Borrowed, Bellini, Coral Cabana, Mandarin Spice, Buttercream, Lime Rickey, and Grass Skirt
I'm entering this in Jingle Belles Banner Holiday.  Isn't that banner gorgeous?

For my second card I hot foiled in gold then used shades of pink and green on the blossoms.  So very soft and pretty with just a bit of bling.

  • Catherine Pooler Cotton Candy, It's a Girl, Be Mine, Buttercream, Tiara, Melon Ice, Lime Rickey, and Oh Boy!

The leftover hot foil I then reverse hot-foiled onto glossy photo paper that you get with printers.  Or at least back in the day it would come with printers.  I was so impressed with hot well the glossy paper did and will use it in the future for reverse hot foiling for sure.

SOSS #240 - A for ATC

We're asking for ATCs this fortnight at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge.

I haven't made an ATC for quite a while and am within a handful of them to complete my 52 ATC pickup project I started a few years ago.  This one won't count toward that tho as I made it with the intention of adding it to a card base to make a holiday/winter card.
