Whimsy - Hey! What's Up?

Oh my goodness, I am a big fan of giraffes and particularly love this new Giraffes Peeking set from Whimsy Stamps. I can think of so many possibilities with it--peeking from the edge of a card, from within an aperture, as a pull tab element, from behind an object or critter, and the list goes on!

Here I stamped the images with Versafine Onyx Black and colored them up with Zigs. I then used the Giraffe Stencil with a bit of Distress Oxide Wild Honey to add a background. Easy peasy!

SOSS #163 - W for Water

Eww, eww, eww!  We've all done it and we all shouldn't have done it and some of us may do it again.  Eww to infinity!  Perhaps you'd rather not jump in that pool, COVID aside, and instead play along with us at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers where the current challenge is Water.

Ack!  Isn't this Whimsy Stamps HaBee Birthday set the cutest?!

We had a little release scheduling change so some of the products I'm using won't be available until Tuesday, July 1.  I'm such a tease!  LOL.

I diecut the front panel out of Bizzy Bee 6x6 Paper (coming soon!) using one of the Wonky Stitched Rectangle Dies.

I then diecut another panel using a Frame Doodles Scalloped Rectangle Die and sponged it with Distress Oxide Mustard Seed and the upcoming Honeycomb Drips Stencil.

Next I colored up the HaBee Birthday images using Copics. I stamped the sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black and diecut the "bee!" using the Bold ABC dies.  I coated the letters with Clear Wink of Stella--so glamorous!

Whimsy - Puppy Ice Cream

Whimsy Stamps mini release day is one of my favs!  This time I'm using the puppy from the Polka Dot Pals Kezia set.  When I saw his little tongue sticking out I HAD to have him begging for a cold treat.

I colored up the popsicles Neopolitan style using Zig 062, 072, 092, 202 after I stamped and embossed the images.  I stamped the sentiment using Memento.

I diecut the panel with a Frame Doodles Scalloped Rectangle Die once it was dry and popped it up on a couple of layers of bright pink cardstock.  So cute (and easy!).

TFS - AG Chickens

Whimsy - Happy Color

This fortnight at Whimsy Stamps we're harking back to some favorite sets including Morticia, Gothic Dies and Dracula Going Batty Dies.

I combined them with the recent Comic Speech Bubbles Dies and Cosmic 6x6 Paper releases to create a bold shaker.

Morticia's right. Black is indeed a happy, fabulous color and one we should all embrace!

I am loving the Honey Bee Flower Builder stencils and couldn't resist using them again on this card featured on the Doodlebugs blog today.

Whimsy - Monkey Ice Cream

Oops!  I imagine everyone has experienced this! LOL.

I'm using the new Whimsy Monkey Sundae stamps and fabulous Oops Word and Shadow Dies.

I did a bit of masking to create the falling scoops then colored up the scene with Copics.

I added background patterning with the Giraffe Stencil and Distress Oxide Peacock Feathers to coordinate with the Eggstra Bunnies 6x6 Paper. So fun!

DB - Flower Power

I have two cards on the Doodlebugs Blog today using the Honey Bee coordinating flower builder dies and stencils.  I'm really impressed with these!
