ATSM #460 - Diecuts and/or Stencils

I'm so glad the Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge is continuing after the former owner had to step away.  It was one of my favorite regular challenges to play before I became a DT member and I'm thrilled to be able to keep supporting it.

My cards are super simple and the perfect way to use up paper scraps.  I found MFT quilting/stitching sentiments in my stash after I finished these, of course.  Hopefully I'll remember I have them for next time!

ATCAS #250 - Sky

Welcome back to the Addicted to CAS Challenge which is under new leadership for 2024.  I'm so glad the challenge will continue as it was one of my regularly played ones prior to my joining the DT.  Our first code word for the year is "sky."

I had the painted card panel on hand after experimenting with using Catherine Pooler inks to watercolor.  Dreamy!  So bright and blend easily.  I added the Altenew Polar Bear and sentiment after spattering the card for snow.  Easy, right?!

CAS on Friday #275 - Winter

Brrrrr!  It's winter time at CAS on Friday.  Come join in the fun, cold as it may be!

I used a couple of my new sets, the Lawn Fawn Simply Celebrate Winter Critters and Add-On. The penguins are so darn cute!  They remind me of Chilly Willy which apparently is a comic character from the 1950s but I know it from a video game I played when I was a kid in the 80s.

Anyway, I sponged around the penguins then colored them up and stamped the sentiments. I used a strip of wintery plaid paper for them to peek over and grounded it with a strip of glitter washi.

SOSS #246 - N for New

Hi!  I'm so glad we're back at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers and I hope you are too!  For 2024's first challenge we're asking that you try or use something new.

I've been trying to stick to my crafty budget but everything is just so damn cute!  Like how could I resist the Waffle Flower cat paws?  I mean, come on!  But everything else on my card is from previous years.

Oh.  Wait.  Okay, the Spellbinders 3D Vintage Ornament is from this holiday.  And when did I get the ornament from The Greetery?  Pretty sure that was last year but I didn't use it until now.  Fine.  Just take my money!

CAS on Friday #274 - Just for You

Happy 2024 and welcome to the first CAS on Friday Challenge of the year, just for you!  I'm still coasting along on a post-Christmas high so started my holiday cards for this year with a cute cute bang.

I stamped the adorable AALL & Create Snow Good reindeer then masked it and used the Concord & 9th Winter Wonderland snowy background with my favorite Catherine Pooler Something Borrowed ink (LOVE that blue).

I used the Waltzing Mouse Stitched Scalloped Circle Die and my rubber embossing mat to impress the design around the scene. I was surprised to discover that the C9 stamp stamped an oval rather a circle but no big deal.
