HLS Watercolour - Wings

I've joined the design team for the Happy Little Stampers Watercolour Challenge and thought I'd celebrate with an ultra cute card featuring the optional code word of "wings!"  I hope you're able to join us.

I started the card by sponging the card base with Distress Oxide Salvaged Patina and Rustic Wilderness.  I add a touch of the dark blue that was already on another brush to deepen the color at the bottom a touch. I spattered that with water then got busy with the fun fun stuff.

I cut out the Lawn Fawn Landscape Heart Garland Backdrop and added a few glitter hearts that were originally bubblegum pink--a quick poof of my Copic Airbrush and Copic Y19 made them a lovely orange.  I added the Lawn Fawn Tropical Leaves Backdrop in an apple green on top of that.

I embossed the Lawn Fawn Scripty Autumn Sentiments on a couple Lawn Fawn Simple Wavy Banners cut to size in and around the Lawn Fawn Scripty Birthday.  I particularly love how that looks nestled in the leaves.

I watercolored the Lawn Fawn Toucan Do It images with Zigs and added some Posca White Pigment Pen highlights.  Aren't they so cute and bright?!

Wonderful Holiday

I was making a card for a future DT assignment using The Greetery Simply Wonderful and thought I'd play around with it more.  LOVE!

I thought of this card in the middle of the night and immediately started working on it when I woke up--a miracle.  Normally I would have forgotten the idea! LOL.

I stamped another "wonderful" in blues and will work something up with that soon enough. Probably. Maybe.

Spellbinders Lamppost

Spellbinders had a slimline lamppost card that was just amazing so I worked up my own A2 version.  I particularly lovely the look of the glossy black cardstock used for the lamp (the post is just a strip I cut); it reminds me of painted iron.

Lawn Fawn Not So Ugly Sweater

I've slowed down on Christmas cards but I need to keep on truckin' with them as January is already over.  I sent something like 130 holiday cards last year--whoa--so no slacking for this girl! This is especially true since I am hoping that each card will be truly unique with no same same cards. Are my eyes bigger than my stomach?  We'll see!

I think this card would make a great make 'n' take for one of our crafty gatherings.  Imagine customizing this with different background paper, critters, and sweaters.  So very very cute!
