SOSS #208 - L for Layers

Oh my goodness, how I love the card I made for the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge #208 L for Layers.  One of my sistahs said I should have colored his "carrot" blue.  So true!  What a lost opportunity!

My card is full of layers:  multiple layers of gesso, ink, and paint along with paper layers and embossed layers too.

ATCAS #218 - One Layer Card

The latest Addicted to CAS Challenge is #218 One Layer. I used a Marvy Snow Marker that puffs up when you heat it but I'll still count it as one layer if you will (and even if you don't!).

I used an MFT bird that I've had in my stash a year or two, having purchased this during holiday sales in either 2019 or 2020.  Yikes!

Birch Press Design - Honeycomb Stacks

I'm over on the Birch Press Design blog sharing another floral honeycomb card inspired by the one I posted on Wednesday. Sometimes you just gotta go with an idea!

Blueberry Tart--Yum!

Still absolutely loving the pie sets.  For the first card I made a ooey gooey blueberry tart and paired it with a square doily that was given to me years ago by a friend who I bet had it in her stash for years before that.

For the second card I did a similar but simpler treatment of a blueberry pie.  I prefer tarts over pies by a long shot, probably because there's less crust and they're simpler to make irl too.

ATSM #427 - Christmas

The prompt this round at the Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge #427 is Christmas.  Yay--building my Xmas stash!

This pile of cats and dogs--and I see a couple of birds--is so very cute!  I colored them up with Copics, accenting the Scotty with a paper-pieced sweater.

It was great fun too choosing the designer papers for this.  How convenient that my Doodlebugs palette was so matchy with the Sunny Studio ones.

Season's Tweetings

Not my usual color combo but sometimes you just need to add purple to your life. The triple layer sentiment was a boo boo.  I had intended the aqua on white but decided white would be better so added another layer on top.

Sweetie Pie

OMG, I couldn't believe my crafty eyes when I saw the new Spellbinders pie-related coordinating sets of stamps and dies. Fortunately, there was a sale going on at Scrapbook.com so I felt less guilty about my impulse buy. I know you know what I'm talking about!

I am actually a pie-hater (go ahead, flog me with a wet noodle) except perhaps for cherry pie every few years. Seriously. But that doesn't stop me from enjoying the pie puns in the Perfect Pie Sentiments & Filling stamp set. So fun!

Sledding Girl

I discovered a stash of images ready to color so have been coloring away as time allows. Also, as energy allows. I'm glad the days are lengthening and I can start to emerge from my hibernation cave mode!
