Out of This World Birthday

Have you seen the movie Nope by Jordan Peele? It had a lot of actors that I really appreciate (I've missed seeing you, Michael Wincott!) and gave me chills.

Well, I thought of that movie as I was working up this card. Alas, I did not have a tiny horse or you bet I would have used that instead of the cows!

For the background, I used Distress Oxides that I spattered with water then re-sponged in the same colors so there was even greater visual depth.  I spattered with Copic Opaque White after that which you know I love doing. I also used Distress Oxide to tint some blue-ish cardstock, trying for a darker look like it was nighttime; I think the white fencing makes it seem darker too.

I colored up the images with Copics and did a fair amount of embossing. I especially love the acetate I used on the spaceship for a glass dome effect (reminded me of R2D2--Movie geek? Why, yes, I am.)

My favorite alien is the one wearing two party hats on its eyes although the bow on the other is adorable too. LOL. Just so cute!!
