Practically Purrfect
I hate coloring cats. There, I've said it and feel 100 lbs lighter. I want all cats to look like my Frankie which is just impossible. I mean how do you color a cat at that scale with cloud rosettes--far beyond my skill and patience--so I skipped all that and made this one "calico" with designer paper. Seriously love!
Happy World Cat Day! Have you entered the Cat Lovers Hop? Today is the last day!

That's so funny - I LOVE colouring cats! They are my favourite thing to colour! I make a lot of cat cards! Most of the cats I colour are tabbies or white, like my own kitties. Your paper-piecing is a fabulous idea and you made a very cute card! I am in love with this kitty stamp and it has been on my wish list ever since it was released. She reminds me of my Snowie! Hope you had fun at the hop - I know I did!

ReplyDeleteYour card is a highfalutin Picasso-esque geometric delight!! I'm always pleased to see fabulous ways I can get by without coloring and this is one I'd go for! (USA - dcomer1 gmail)

Very, very cool!!Those little geometric spots are so clever! I con't mind coloring cats in, but they NEVER turn out the way I think they should. Stunning card! Christi ~ StampinDIva at Yahoo dot com ~ USA
ReplyDeleteLOVE LOVE LOVE the geometric calico!!! What a FABULOUS idea!!! I love coloring kitties, but I can never come close to the natural swirls and myriads of colors that gorgeous tabbies have in their coats...so I go for straight stripes of two colors. :) I need to start piecing some of them. Wonderful work!!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for participating in the 2016 Cat Lovers Hop!!!
