Stamplorations CAS May Challenge!

Hello, everyone!  Can you believe it's time for the next Stamplorations CAS challenge?  This time the optional color is magenta and as always anything goes.

I chose to work up a sympathy card this time as a coworker's sister passed away unexpectedly this past weekend.  So very heartbreaking.  I hadn't intended the card to come out so brightly colored, even with a pale gray wash, but then I realized that it may be just what she needs right now--a spot of color and an inspirational message.  I am so very glad that we create things that bring a bit of sunshine into another's life, aren't you?

The Details:  Stamplorations New Beginning, Zig clean color real brush pens, Ranger Archival ink, VersaFine Onyx Black,  Simon Says stitched rectangle die, Tim Holtz watercolor paper, Recollections 110lb black and white cardstock

  1. Toni, this is a great card, love the image placed in the center and colored so beautifully. Never thought of this sentiment as a sympathy expression, but more as an encouragement. I think it is really appropriate for the case, black background balances it well. People need support and love in such situations, and this card gives both. - Sweet Kobylkin

  3. It's always hard to create sympathy cards and yours is spot on. I love the use of colour against the black background. It looks more like a piece of art than a card!
