It's birthday time at the Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge #463. Come help us celebrate; it's someone's birthday every day!
For my card I wanted to use a rainbow clouds background I had made for another project but screwed up the bottom--talk about smudgy. The ground of the theme park covered that up nicely.
The slider mechanism is really easy for this one. It's just a simple slot that you surround with foam beneath to create a hidden channel, making sure to leave sufficient room for the slider element to, well, slide. It's easy to create your own slider doohickey with a small circle of cardstock and a foam dot. I've had the foam dot stick a bit on the sides (embossing anti-static powder or cornstarch helps with that) so like using MFT slider elements instead.
I colored up the images using Copics, modeling the roller coaster after King Island's The Beast which was the largest operational wooden roller coaster back in my day. Maybe it still is.
I love riding roller coasters but am not sure my older body could tolerate it. Ack! My spine! LOL.
