Halfway through the Stamplorations August CAS challenge with the optional twist of gold. Come join the fun!
My card started out not so CAS. I liked it but wasn't "comfortable" with the results; it just wasn't CAS enough. To remedy that I zoomed in on the lighthouse by cutting away a big chunk of the scene and moving the sentiment. I embossed the background with a 3D wave folder--are those water waves, sand dunes, wind? It all works with the scene. What a transformation, huh? I love the results and hope you do too!
I'm entering this in Addicted to Stamps and More #207 Make Your Mark, Moving Along with the Times CAS,
The Details: Stamplorations True North, Zigs, Impression Obsession seagull die, Copics, Tim Holtz watercolor paper, painter's tape
Wonderful card, thanks for joining us at MAWTT, xxxx
ReplyDeleteThis is a fab card Toni. Love how you've focussed in on the lighthouse as a focal point. The embossing is just perfect as it looks like waves or sand… and the seagull is a nice touch too.. it's a very relaxing card to look at.. would look very nice in a frame!
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining us at MAWTT for our CAS Chalenge! :-)

I love how you "CAS-ified" your original card, that embossed white background is so great with the beautiful scene!!
ReplyDeleteI agree, both are fab cards but the 2nd wins in the CAS department. Love the texture you got in the background.
ReplyDeleteSo pleased you linked up at ATSM. :)
Beautiful scene, Toni! Love the CAS version with dry embossed panel!
