I'm playing along with Fusion Seashells with this card.

I received the Taylored Expressions background recently (as a freebie!!!) and thought it would be perfect for this card with its summer vibe. Just look at all those cute icons like the shells, palm trees and drinks.  I embossed in white then used colors inspired by the seashells in a jar to create beach and water.

Those little Mama Elephant chicks are having the best vacation ever, aren't they?  I'm jealous.

Rainbow WA

Since it's Pride month, I thought I would send a supportive card to a friend of mine who lives in a less than inclusive place. Sigh.  Hopefully these next few years help to reverse the damage done.

Again, I'm using some leftovers including the rainbow paper and WA diecut.  I even had the girl image already cut out--thank you Scan 'n' Cut--LOL.

Gold & Silver Noel

I thought I would play along with the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown June color challenge: grey, gold, and black. This was a real challenge for me--where are the pinks and blues I've been using lately?!  But I did have the Paper Rose B&W Christmas 6x6 paper I didn't have a chance to use last Christmas.  The background is my favorite grey cardstock, Bazzill Fig Swirl, embossed with Stampin' Up Linen.  The trees are Yvonne Creations. The Noel is cut from Recollections Gold Mirror Board.

Then since I had the Penny Black Noel die and paper out, I went ahead and made another card in a different colorway.  This one has a background of Spellbinders Glimmer Twinkle Lights (snow!) in silver foil on the same Bazzill Fig Swirl Cardstock. I colored the bow with Copic R27.

Journal 1: Beauty Goes Deep

I saw that the prompt over at Simon Says Monday Challenge was Mixed Media and guess who had been thinking about her journal recently?  This girl!

I had a foiled alcohol ink Yupo panel I had made when crafting with some IG friends already on hand.  It reminded me of seaweed so I fussy cut that out and adhered it to my page. Next I airbrushed coral, and later the grit paste after it had dried-ish. The crab is cut from a leftover piece from an alcohol inked panel.

You can see how the rest was put together with the watercolored image, additional diecut pieces, and embossed sentiment.

I had great fun virtual crafting with a friend last night--you know, lots of chatting and a little crafting. :)  It felt great pulling these sets out of the stash and dusting them off. They deserve more love than I'd been giving them, that's for sure.
