HLS Watercolour - Emboss

It's time for another Happy Little Stampers Watercolour Challenge (with optional "emboss" topping or anything goes)!  

I created a sponged ink ombre blue background on the card front then mounted the WPlus9 Pine Frame onto it.  I used the same inks on the sentiment, The Greetery's Simply Wonderful, which I mounted on top of a pierced oval diecut with a few of the Pine Frame extra branches placed around it. So simple and so so pretty!

CAS on Friday #269 - Animal

Has October whipped by or what?!  I'm full on holiday cardmaking mode and have a little niggle of panic starting. Will I finish on time?!

Fortunately, the latest CAS on Friday challenge topic is "animal" which I was easily able to adapt for a holiday card.

ATCAS #249 - Black, Purple, Green

It's time for another Addicted to CAS Challenge, this time with a color theme of black, purple and green. 

Given the timing and love of all things spooky, I created another Halloween card using the Simon Says Stamp Trick or Treat set on top of a few of the SSS Patterned Squares sponged in a bright green and purple.

ATSM #456 - Make Your Mark

It's Make Your Mark this fortnight at the Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge. This is one of my favorites as the possibilities are endless.

I picked up the Essentials by Ellen Trim the Tree set during her retirement sale. Aren't the images adorable?  I paired them with Lawn Fawn window sets and sentiments to create a holiday tree-trimming scene.

ATCAS #248 - Dies Only

For the latest Addicted to CAS Challenge we're asking you to use dies only.  

I wasn't quite sure what I was going to do for my card but found this word die in my stash AND already had some cut out. Win, win!

I added that to a card front cut from Bazzil Fig Swirl (my favorite neutral gray tone) which I had embossed.  My final step was to add Rudolph's nose.  Cute and modern!

HLS Christmas - Stencil

For the latest Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge you can go with anything goes or the optional stencil twist.  

I used the Taylored Expressions Bird Party Create-in-Quads August Club stencils for my cards.  I'm a huge fan of Create-in-Quads and am particularly enamored of these birds.  I used them for holiday cards but it would be easy to make them for other occasions.

For each of my cards I used the same inks (Distress Oxide Mermaid Lagoon, Prize Ribbon, Lumberjack Plaid, Vintage Photo) but changed up the sentiments and layouts which made a big difference in their feel.
