Little Snow Globe Bear--So Cute!

I will say it again:  Lawn Fawn is brilliant.  Not only did the Little Snow Globe sets from November's release rewhet my appetite for the Reveal Wheel that's been in my stash gathering dust for ages and ages, they are so darn cute!

I mixed together some older sets along with the new to create this adorable scene.  I'd like to think the cat is helping to carry the snow globe but in my house, the cats would be trying to wrest it away from me. LOL!

Popcorn Garland

While growing up we regularly made our own Christmas decorations, including popcorn garland. I didn't particularly like making them because creating a string of it long enough for the tree took forever and a day.

I grabbed the wrong brush for the background so it went from my envisioned salvaged patina to cobalt blue. Behold:  my Dr. Who inspired Christmas card. LOL.

Cozy, Glittery Fireplace

I had leftover Lawn Fawn Reveal Wheel parts out from my mega cardmaking session a few weeks ago and used them up.  I'm on a roll!

I used the Lawn Fawn Shadow Box Card Fireplace Add-On to create a softly colored fireplace with the picture frame above displaying a variety of gold embossed holiday messages. So very merry!

With Immense Joy

I played around with the Penny Black Immense Joy die this weekend.  I made a couple of cards pairing it with the Altenew Poinsettia 3D and Stampin' Up Linen Embossing Folder.  Talk about quick and simple and with that glitter--amazing!

The other card happened because I thought the sort of coppery glitter cardstock was so pretty but when would I use it?  How about right now as a non-traditional color for a holiday card?  Yes, please!

CAS on Friday - Black, White and One Color

I had a brilliant idea of using a variety of red washi tapes that I would then cut out to create a tree for the latest CAS on Friday #272 Black, White and One Color Challenge.  It could have been so much cooler but it didn't occur to me that the washi design wouldn't count for much after I cut it out with a bottle brush tree.  Duh!

I found this paper in my stash.  I recall buying it a few years ago with the intention of creating a make 'n' take for friends but that didn't happen so I'm using it now along with an older Lawn Fawn penguin. I should send this one to someone associated with UW given the purple and gold colors.

HLS Christmas - Festive Animals

It's time for a new Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge with an optional Festive Animals topping. This is the last challenge for now as the owner is taking a well-deserved life break.

Twinkle Lights Again, But on White

Last time I showcased these fab Spellbinders De-light-ful Christmas hot foil plates I did it on black.  This time they're on white but I did two sets, one in shades of blue with silver foil & glitter and the other multi-colored with gold.  They're just so very fun!

Bottle Brush Trees

Aren't these glittery bottle brush trees amazing?  I went all out and included a glittery background as well with a bit of white pigment ink on the bottom for snow.

CAS on Friday - Christmas

Are you ready for another CAS on Friday challenge?  I know you're not ready for Christmas, surely not, so am happy to say our latest challenge helps build your holiday card stash.

I used the Ellen Hutson All Wrapped Up set to create a one layer card colored with alcohol inks.  I thought about cutting out and layering some mini Xmas lights I have or maybe covering these with Glossy Accents to give it a bit of dimension but decided to keep it easy peasy.

We're having a really small Thanksgiving this year and I'm so very thankful.  These turned out so so cute but all that diecutting was a LOT.  Of course, some of that was on me for deciding to use designer paper for the tail front and back but look how fab they look!

Get Away from That Snow Globe, Cat!

This.  This is what I'm afraid of when it comes to my sister's cats and holiday decorations. They are so inquisitive and ornery unlike my potato cats who couldn't give a fig about the tree and other decorations beyond the occasional drive-by sniff.

I used the new Lawn Fawn Reveal Wheel sets and combined them with some of my favorite holiday sets--Purrfectly Wicked and Furry & Bright.  The rug is from LF Christmas Dreams cut from LF 6x6 Knit Picky cardstock; I used 12x12 Knit Picky paper for the background.

The reveal wheel templates made it so easy to position the images and sentiment inside the snow globe.  They don't help you determine which order you should stamp your images though.  

I wanted the scene to be snowy, snowier, snowiest but instead got snowiest, snowier, snowy so let me stamp that again in reverse order. LOL.

Not to worry, I won't waste that wheel and instead will create a Reveal Wheel card with the wheel on the lefthand side of the card.
