Simon Says Stamp - Wildflower Meadow

I cannot believe it's time for the Simon Says Stamp annual Stamptember event.  Remember last year when I won a Golden Ticket? I certainly do--so exciting--but that was 11 months ago!  What the heckity heck?  Where did the time go?!

As usual, it's another banger year with the SSS release like this Floral Whimsy layering stencil set. It's so pretty and with the different layers being independent with no overlapping of designs you can play to your heart's content with colors and not worry about matching for shading or anything like that. Yay!  

Observe how different the card looks by changing up the colors, the technique and sentiment.

HLS Watercolour - Layers

This month at the HLS Watercolour Challenge it's the usual Anything Goes and/or optional "Layers" topping.

I created a holiday card that I watercolored with Zig Real Brush Markers.  Aren't those penguins super cute?!

I used designer paper beneath the hearts layer then a glittery snow layer then the gate and finally the popped up penguins.  So, yes, I chose the optional layers option this round. :)

Simon Says Stamp - How Do You Like Them Apples?

My Simon Says Stamp Golden Ticket package from the Just a Note release included the Layering Apples stencil set. Love it! Isn't it adorable with the Lawn Fawn apples?  So flippin' cute!

I love Honeycrisp apples so tried to mimick them in the way I colored.  I'm so glad apple season is upon us!

ATCAS #245 - Holidays

Are you ready for another Addicted to CAS challenge?  This time our code word is "holidays" which made me think of Christmas but there are a LOT of holidays out there so whatever inspires you works for us.

I went modern and simple with this card which took well under 10 minutes to make. A wreath, a few red hot jewels and a diecut sentiment--boom, done!

I've been using up some bits and bobs that have been in my craft space for far too long, although if I didn't remember their existence does it really count?

ATSM #453 - Birthdays

It's birthday time at the Addicted to Stamps & More Challenge.  Yay! As you know, I LOVE cats so imagine how excited I was to get the Lawn Fawn Fortune Teller Tabby set.  I paired it with some other LF cat sets I have including Purrfectly Wicked and Keep on Swimming.

I colored up the images and that fabulous purple background with Copics.  I used Lawn Fawn Let It Shine Starry Skies Paper with the curtains from the Lawn Fawn Window Frame die set. 

I continued the gold accents with Clear Wink of Stella on the table cloth stars and moons as well as cutting the Lawn Fawn Portrait Heart Garland Backdrop hearts out of gold foil cardstock.

My final touch was to cover the crystal ball with Ranger Glossy Accents twice.  I left the first thick layer dry then added another heaping layer for even more dimension.
