Whimsy - WTF

My brother in law's birthday is coming up so I had the perfect opportunity to pair the new Whimsy WTF Word die with Dracula Bite Me, one of my favorite masculine sets.

I stamped and then colored up Dracula using Copics. I then masked him and used the Brick Pattern Stencil along with Distress Oxides for the wall behind him. I sponged the ground as well. I added a couple of sponged spiders too with the Halloween Creatures Stencil.

I used the new Comic Speech Bubbles Dies for the remaining sentiments.  The sentiments are so punny and cute, aren't they?!

Whimsy - Let's (Meno)pause for a Moment

Talk about laughing out loud when I received the new Whimsy Stamps Menopause set. It's hilarious and brilliant and just all around fabulous!

I used Distress Oxide Candied Apple, Carved Pumpkin and Mustard Seed for the background. Love how smoothly those Oxides blend.  I colored up the images with Copics.

The really fun part was putting the card together.  I used the Peekaboo Windows 3 die to create bounding boxes then added the new Ugh! Word and Shadow Die in bold black, using the Menopause thermometer as an exclamation point.

I also used the new Comic Speech Bubbles Dies to house the hilarious sentiment.

SOSS #160 - Y for Yellow

This fortnight it's all about yellow for the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers. I immediately thought of yellow brick road, then the scaredy cat lion, and then my own introvert anxiety.  Boom! I had such fun making this card!

Whimsy - Queen Drama

Today's Whimsy Stamps release includes the Kitty Prints Dies which pairs so well with the Goth Girl images.

I stamped and colored the Goth Girl with Copics.  I couldn't resist using those pinks.

I repeated the pinks when I colored up the Kitty Prints Queen Drama dies ombre-style.  Now I had intended for this to say Drama Queen but glued down the words the opposite way before realizing.  Oops!  Cute either way!

Whimsy - Paws

The latest latest Whimsy May release includes lots of dies that can be used with the many Whimsy cat and dog sets. I've paired two of the die sets with Cone of Shame. How perfect is that?!

I first stamped the dog image then masked it.  I then diecut the Puppy Paws die and used it as a stencil along with Distress Oxide Picked Raspberry and Mustard Seed.

I colored up the dog image using Copic N1, E31, E53, E55 and E59.

I diecut the paws again from the same panel in order to create a shaker!  I used the Paws and Bones Border dies to create the shaker bones. Cool!

Whimsy - Feeling Crappy

Oh, I knew exactly what I wanted to do with the new Whimsy Outhouse stamp. How perfect is this for the times we're living in?!

I stamped the image using VersaFine Onyx Black then watercolored it with Zigs. The flowers and greenery really made the image come to life.

Now coming up with the sentiment was both the fun and the hard part. I think this one, printed on my label maker, hits just the right balance of snark and caring.  LOL!
