Whimsy - What the What?

I'm sure you've seen the Whimsy Stamps latest mini release around by now. It's fantabulous!

Here I used the Comic Burst A2 Die centers on top of a panel diecut using a Wonky Stitched Rectangle Die and Cosmic 6x6 Paper.

I then stamped the Gossip Girl and colored her up with Copics. I love the look of shock on her face.  My sister thought the burst diecut made it look like she had just socked the viewer in the kisser. Bam!

I'll see you soon with another Whimsy Stamps creation.  In the meantime, why don't you take a gander at the other goodies in the Whimsy shop.

Whimsy - Bam!

O. M. G. I cannot express how excited I was when I received the new Whimsy comic-themed products to play with and play I did!

I started off by cutting the Slimline Filmstrip Die in a bold black and adhering it on top of a comic strip from the newspaper (Blondie). I then used the Comic Halftone Stencil to add subtle dots to the inside panels.

Now comes the really really really fun part of designing the storyline. Our Bam! You're Old heroine flys over the city (stamped in VersaFine Onyx Black).  She dramatically turns and points, warning you that just like that. . . .

Insert explosion using a Comic Speech Bubbles Die cut from the new Cosmic 6x6 Paper with BAM! stamped in Stazon on top.

Gossip Girl cries out and soon the whole city knows the news:  You're super old!

Did I not tell you this mini release is amazing?! You can check it out in more detail in the Whimsy shop.

Whimsy - WTF

My brother in law's birthday is coming up so I had the perfect opportunity to pair the new Whimsy WTF Word die with Dracula Bite Me, one of my favorite masculine sets.

I stamped and then colored up Dracula using Copics. I then masked him and used the Brick Pattern Stencil along with Distress Oxides for the wall behind him. I sponged the ground as well. I added a couple of sponged spiders too with the Halloween Creatures Stencil.

I used the new Comic Speech Bubbles Dies for the remaining sentiments.  The sentiments are so punny and cute, aren't they?!

Do check out the other new goodies in the Whimsy shop. You won't be disappointed!

Whimsy Tutorial -- Underwater Focus

I'm on the Whimsy Stamps blog with a brief tutorial.  Come check it out!

You should also check out the new release which is suuuuuper cute!  Whimsy shop

Whimsy - Let's (Meno)pause for a Moment

Talk about laughing out loud when I received the new Whimsy Stamps Menopause set. It's hilarious and brilliant and just all around fabulous!

I used Distress Oxide Candied Apple, Carved Pumpkin and Mustard Seed for the background. Love how smoothly those Oxides blend.  I colored up the images with Copics.

The really fun part was putting the card together.  I used the Peekaboo Windows 3 die to create bounding boxes then added the new Ugh! Word and Shadow Die in bold black, using the Menopause thermometer as an exclamation point.

I also used the new Comic Speech Bubbles Dies to house the hilarious sentiment.

I love everything about the new mini Whimsy Stamps release and bet you will too.  Why don't you go check it out in the Whimsy shop.   Have a great day!
