Whimsy - Chickie
For today's card I'm using the Whimsy March release Spring Chickens which are just too too cute. The Criss Cross Gingham Background goes perfectly with them, don't you think? I stamped that with Distress Oxide Mustard Seed onto the card base.
I then cut out a few of the Spring Ovals Dies, sponging the spattering them with Distress Oxides again. I added some sparkling gems to the flowers as well.
I colored up the chicks using Copics (RV00, RV02, Y11, Y13, Y15, Y28). My last step was to stamp the sentiment and cut it out using one of the Quick Strips Dies. Too cute!

Are you ready for another Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge #155 B for Booze? Hold my beer!
I stamped and then masked the Katzelkraft Aviator image then went to town with lots of Ranger Distress Oxides and Prism Inks. I was aiming for a drunk/wonky background.
The sentiment is from Ranger Dylusions Fabulous Called. Indeed it did!

Whimsy - Favorite Place
By now I'm sure you've seen quite a few projects showcasing the Whimsy Stamps March release. So inspiring and so much eye candy!
My card today uses Polka Dot Pals Harley. If you take a look at the stamp set below, you'll see that his face is largely blank so you can draw in whatever expression you want. BIG breath! I was intimidated but followed PDP desgner Barbara Sproatmeyer's brilliant tutorial on faces. She refers to the faces that come with some of the PDP sets (which I don't have) so I just basically followed along.
I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. It wasn't too hard to do either so I will definitely be trying this again.
For the card background:
- I sponged Distress Oxide Mustard Seed and Carved Pumpkin onto the card base.
- I adhered the Forest Majesty tree dies on top.
- The next layer is a leftover piece of card stock sponged with Distress Oxide Mowed Lawn and cut out with a Lawn Fawn grass die.
- For the water, I stamped and fussy cut the stream and watercolored it with Zig Real Brush Markers.
I used a sentiment from the Bunny Buddies set to finish up this little love note for my sweetie. :)
Other products used: Zig 047, 030, 032, 092, 010, 075, 062, 052, 072; Copic B14, E55.

Croissants
Oh, myyyy. I made this card ages ago and just found it in my drafts--oops!
I stamped the Honey Bee Tea Time cup, masked it and stamped the croissant. I thought the croissant was ridiculously large relative to the cup but then I saw the gargantuan croissants from the Costco bakery and decided these are quite modest in size. LOL
I watercolored the card with Zig Realbrush Pens then used the MFT Small Brick Wall stencil and Distress Oxide Picked Raspberry to create a brick wall. I used a crackle stencil with DO Frayed Burlap as well.
I stamped the Honey Bee Perfect Blend sentiment and the images with Versafine Onyx Black.

Whimsy - Birthday Fishing
The latest Whimsy Stamps release is available today! Woo hoo!
I'm using the Fisherman's Basket rubber stamp for my masculine birthday card. I was really taken with the little scene within the basket's strap.
I stamped the Fisherman's Basket with Versafine Onyx Black onto watercolor paper and watercolored it using Zigs (021, 027, 035, 044, 051, 054, 060, 063, 065, 066, 070, 092, 098, 400).
Once dry, I diecut it with one of the Whimsy Wonky Stitched Rectangle Dies. I thought the wonky stitching paired well with the curves of the basket strap.
Finally I stamped the Don't Shop Dogs sentiment, again using Versafine Onyx Black.
I'll be sending this to my nephew for his birthday. He's an avid fisherman and will love it (or else-- LOL)!

Flippin' Babies
Today I'm featuring a baby card I made for a coworker. Her nursery theme is woodlands so I used woodland creatures with a gender-neutral palette (she's since had a girl!).
I used the Lawn Fawn Flippin' Awesome dies and Add-On to create a little storybook. I used a variety of coordinating 6x6" papers including Doodlebug Design Spring Things, Doodlebug Design Milk and Cookies, and Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid.
I stamped the Mama Elephant New Family images with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored them with Copics. They're sooooo cute!
For each panel I created a unique scene using paper, vellum (to tone down the bright heart paper), and Lawn Fawn Stitched Tree Borders and Simply Grassy Hillsides. This turned out so darling!
