Whimsy - Shark Week

Chomp, chomp!  The June Whimsy Snark Attack and Ocean Stencil are amazing--I love them!  Let's jump right in (wink, wink).

With the below card I sponged Distress Oxides onto the card base, spattered it with water on the lower half then used the Whimsy Ocean Stencil to add plants and sea life. The Distress Oxide allows some fabulous layering of colors without muddying.

I then stamped the Whimsy Snark Attack images using Memento Tuxedo Black and colored them up using Copics. I used my Copic airbrush to enhance the sunset a bit. The sentiment is stamped using Versamark and then embossed with Ranger White Super Fine Detail Embossing Powder.

I sponged and spattered the background of the next card too but masked the edges first.  I did some experimenting with the Ocean Stencil and Distress Oxides. Notice how I was able to get gradations of color on the turtles, eg?  Very cool.

To finish the card I stamped the Snark Attack image using Memento Tuxedo Black and colored him up using Copics. 

As with the first card, the sentiment is stamped with Versamark and embossed with Ranger White Super Fine Detail Embossing Powder.
