Mini Joy

I am finally using the minis from one of my fav holiday sets last year!  They're so cute, aren't they?  The background is done with Distress Oxides, spattered with water, then spattered with Copic Opaque White.  Lots of great depth to it.

Fairy Happy

I've had this box card in mind since I saw the latest Greeting Farm release which arrived in the mail yesterday. Those fairies!  They are really tiny--like a quarter--and are adorable. But tiny as they are, I did use my thickest 100# coverstock to diecut the greenery. Some of those stems are so delicate they collapsed when I tried my usual 80#. Argh. The pic doesn't do the stenciled cloud background on the back panel justice. It's the perfect backdrop.

I got some new goodies the other day so had to play a bit. Our hobby is such a great way to unwind, isn't it? I think when I have the girls do this for a make n take in a couple of weeks, I'll leave off the initial masking and just have them cloud the whole background.

1. Mask the card base and sponge clouds
2. Color and cut out the images
3. I used a swatch of denim and Copic 0 to create the mountain texture)
4. Diecut the cityscape
5. Stamp and mask the sentiment
