ATSM #468 - Birthday

In a lot of areas of the US, the beginning of summer starts with Memorial Day at the end of May.  Not so much here in the Pacific Northwest but I decided to channel summer anyway for the latest Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge #468 Birthday.

I've been trying to figure out ways to use the Lawn Fawn Simply Celebrate series of images in strips.  How do I deal with a line of floating ice cream cones?  Watermelon?  I decided to create my own paper in a way by stamping each down the paper and coloring them up.

I did consider stamping them at an angle but my gumption said heck no so simple it stayed.  I went to town on creating different ice cream flavors tho.

I added a Lawn Fawn summery checks paper at the bottom with a bit of navy faux trim embossed with the sentiment and then the Scripty Birthday to tie it all together.

ATCAS #258 - Flower

Showcase some flowers and join in the fun at the latest Addicted to CAS Challenge.

I used the Hero Arts Merry Poinsettia Bunch as my floral image.  It has a rather modern feel to it so I paired it with Taylored Expressions Modern Holiday sentiment and used somewhat non-traditional poinsettia colors. I wonder if you can find real poinsettias in this gorgeous colorway?

I'm entering this in Peace on Earth #63.

Flowers on order for the latest CAS on Friday Challenge. Is your garden blooming?  My spring flowers are gone but not forgotten.

I Copic-colored by one layer card, using a paper towel with alcohol to add the texture to the Christmas Rose petals. So so pretty.

SOSS #250 - O for Outdoors

We're heading outdoors for the latest Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers Challenge.  Pollen? Bugs? Is that poop?!  Eww!

I saw a meme on Pinterest with the "I like them real thick and sprucey" riff on Sir Mix-a-Lot's Baby's Got Back.  How could I resist; that's my jam!

I used a few couple of shades of geen to stamp the Stampin' Up Wonderland trees as a backdrop then took my time coloring up the Sugarpea Designs Timber images.  They're so so cute!  And then you read that sentiment.  Bam!  LOL.

ATSM #467 - Christmas

The latest Addicted to Stamps and More Challenge is all about Christmas.  Anything to help build the holiday card stash, am I right?

I cut the Memory Box Classic Pair of Ice Skates in white, kraft and silver then used baker's twine from my stash to quickly stitch the laces.  The Taylored Expressions Vintage Sled is cut from two shades of kraft and red.  I was using up bits and bobs of kraft. I also used up some scraps with the Spellbinders greenery bits.

I love how the Pinkfresh Studio Holiday Large Sentiments look on these designs in particular but the PFS Holiday Perfect Sentiments in silver hot foil look great too.

ATCAS #257 - Smile

Does the Addicted to CAS Challenge bring a smile to your face?  It certainly does mine.

These MFT Christmas elves are adorable (I will always miss you, Birdie Brown!) and make me smile too.

I stamped the image and colored it up with cheerful Copics.  The MFT Polaroid Shaker Frame fits these images perfectly. The hashtags are the icing on the top.  A simple, but not boring, design for sure.

CAS on Friday #282 - Sunshine

We've got sunshine at the CAS on Friday Challenge #282 but it's not necessarily warm warm.

Check out the ever so cheerful snowman who's melting away under the sun.  My plan is to use this card for someone who lives in a region where it may not get cold enough for snow during winter.
