Gray Skies
I'm guesting over at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers where the theme for the current challenge is T for Technique. Just showcase a technique you haven't used in a while or your favorite one and you're all good.
I'm showcasing a gelli print technique I haven't used in a good long while and mixing it up by using a rubber stamp to impress the Seattle skyline. The background is so bold I left the image plain jane with the spot of yellow for the raincoat. So needed here in Seattle. The snarky sentiment, unfortunately, is so true too. LOL.
I hope you'll play along at the Sisterhood. Who doesn't love some snark?
The Details: Liquitex Basics Arylic Paint, Speedball Brayer, Impress Seattle Skyline stamp, Brutus Monroe Be Unique, Hero Arts Unicorn Pigment Ink, Copic Y11-17, Strathmore Mixed Media paper, Versamark, Memento Tuxedo Black, Memory Box Long Stem Lavender die, Uniball white pigment pen
Perfect!
ReplyDeleteWow, Toni, I always love it when you are our Queen! Another stunning card... And that cat now tops my wishlist! Thanks for wearing the crown, Jo x
ReplyDeleteAwesome card, a technique I haven't done well don't have the equipment to either. Love the sky and the skyline and the cat, I really like the plain jane cat with the yellow slicker. Super job on being our "queen"
ReplyDeleteGreat technique, great image, great skyline and a sentiment that echoes how I feel every time I look out of the window today. Thanks for being a super queen
ReplyDeleteJane
Holy cats!! (Because there’s a cat, see?) I love love that bold burst of blue in your artsy skyline.
ReplyDeleteI haven't been to Seattle yet, but I know Vancouver well, so I think a raincoat, a warm hat, and waiting for July are a very true combination. What a great gelli print background! Thanks for joining us as Queen, Toni, enjoy the crown!
ReplyDeleteAmazing background, cat image and sentiment! Purrfectly melded together! (See what I did there? LOL!) Your card is amazing! Thanks for joining us as our Queen at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers!
