I wanted to go very simple and soothing with this one. My colleague is from Norway and very down to Earth so I think the card fits him. I was originally going to stamp the sentiment without the vellum but I wanted to dress the card up a bit. I taped the vellum down from the back side then stamped the sentiment. I then mounted the lot to hide the tape.
I also did a one layer version during the design process. Which do you prefer?
Cuteness of the day: Frankie is sleeping on my desk and snoring ever so gently. Awww.
The Details: PTI ginkgo stamp, Clearly Besotted Thinking of You sentiment, Memento Pear Tart, Distress Ink Walnut Stain, Recollections white coverstock, Bazzill Basics Rock Candy cardstock
I'm entering the OLC card in Less Is More #184 OLC Foliage,
Toni I'm sorry you needed to make a whole batch of sympathy cards...
ReplyDeleteI like both your creations but do prefer the one layer. The vellum panel is a fab idea but for me the more CAS the better for sympathy cards somehow
Thanks so much for joining us at Less is More

Lovely cards and choice of image !! I prefer the one without vellum.
ReplyDeleteI love this image and it's perfect for sympathy cards, how sad that you needed so many!
ReplyDeleteI love the one layer best!
Thanks so much

This is lovely!
ReplyDeleteGosh, Toni, I really do like them both. The vellum gives it a more somber effect, but I really love the crispness of the OLC, too! Great job! I'm sorry that you needed so many at the same time. Hugs, Darnell
