Whimsy - Happy Trails
This another card I've made using the Whimsy September release products. I hope you've gone to take a look at what's available!
My concept started with the Lots of Dots panel which I had stamped for a different project but didn't use. I cut a Pierced and Stitched Circle Die and Distress Oxide Salty Ocean and Mowed Lawn to create the dragon background.
I colored up the Camping Dragons scene using Copics. I took my cue from the image sign to draw dotted trail lines on the card base using a Copic Multiliner 0.3.
I assembled the remaining card front using Scotch Foam Tape and Scor-Tape. So cute!

More Sunflowers
After I played around with the Pretty Pink Posh Sunflowers images using paper-piecing, I was curious how they would look water-colored with colored pencil accents. Would they be too cutesy? As if, I know.
Well, I think it turned out a treat. My only bump in the road was when I grabbed an orange rather than dark/bright yellow Zig marker. In my peripheral vision they looked exactly the same but on paper, not so much. Oops!
I covered up that little boo boo by stamping and coloring the image again, fussy cutting it, and popping it up on foam tape. It'll stay our little secret. :)

C4P - Romantic Floral Waves
I present to you my latest card for the C4P Copic Club design team in support of the Crafts for Paws coloring classes.
Today's card is based on the class called Romantic Floral Waves. If you make a minimum donation, you can have access to this class and color along with us!
This round I didn't have the main Copics used for the flower so I substituted those for BV63, RV66, RV69. For the flower colored pencil I substituted PC937 (Tuscan Red).
I'm entering this in CAS(E) this Sketch! #338 and Watercooler Wednesday #237 Feminine Anything Goes

Whimsy - Beware
People! Have you seen the September Whimsy release?! Squeeeee! It's chock full of creepy crawly cuteness.
Now I've never done a long card so that was an interesting challenge. Thinking of each window as another scene helped me a lot. To start, I sponged the Slimline Marquee diecut with Distress Oxide Fired Brick, Ripe Persimmon and Mustard Seed.
For the top scene I used one of the Pierced and Stitched Circle Dies as a mask for the moon. I then stenciled the bats from the Halloween Creatures Stencil.
For the second scene I stamped the Halloween Scream graveyard and then stenciled on a few bats from the Halloween Creatures Stencil.
The bottom scene is of the Halloween Scream zombie climbing his way out of his grave just for a little chat. LOL. It was so fun coloring him up. I also used my Copic airbrush for sky and dirt throughout.
I added a few diecut bats from Dracula Going Batty. I love this card. The top scene is really far away, then closer with the second, and even closer with the third and finally you're hit in the face with bats coming at you. So cool!
