Whimsy - Beware
People! Have you seen the September Whimsy release?! Squeeeee! It's chock full of creepy crawly cuteness.
Now I've never done a long card so that was an interesting challenge. Thinking of each window as another scene helped me a lot. To start, I sponged the Slimline Marquee diecut with Distress Oxide Fired Brick, Ripe Persimmon and Mustard Seed.
For the top scene I used one of the Pierced and Stitched Circle Dies as a mask for the moon. I then stenciled the bats from the Halloween Creatures Stencil.
For the second scene I stamped the Halloween Scream graveyard and then stenciled on a few bats from the Halloween Creatures Stencil.
The bottom scene is of the Halloween Scream zombie climbing his way out of his grave just for a little chat. LOL. It was so fun coloring him up. I also used my Copic airbrush for sky and dirt throughout.
I added a few diecut bats from Dracula Going Batty. I love this card. The top scene is really far away, then closer with the second, and even closer with the third and finally you're hit in the face with bats coming at you. So cool!

ATCAS #167 - Pink and Purple
The latest Addicted to CAS inspiration words are "Pink and Purple." I challenged myself to use Copic colors I don't normally to work up this sympathy card. Happy sigh.
Read more about this card and the other I made from it in a couple of weeks on the Doodlebugs Blog. Yeah, there might have been a bit of unfortunate inky fingers action after I took this photo. :*(

Whimsy - Jack in the Box
Boo! My Whimsy cards earlier this month got me in the mood for Halloween so I thought I would pair up Creepy Clowns with the August release Wonky Windows 2.
I used the Camouflage Background along with Distress Oxide Picked Raspberry and Mustard Seed to create my own background paper for the card front. I then cut out the Wonky Windows 2 die using Pebbles Midnight Haunting 6x6 Paper.
I stamped the main sentiment on vellum using Versamark and heat embossed with black embossing powder.
I stamped out the Creepy Clowns with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored them up with Copics. I used baby colors for the banner and box but went creepier with the clown.
I adhered the various images to the card front using liquid adhesive. Notice how the banner sticks up a bit? I glue the ends of the banner closer together to create an arc. The head of the clown is popped up too, using foam tape.

SOSS #142 - V is for Violent
Our latest Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers challenge is V is for Violent. I had to, just had to, use one of my beloved Visible Image Oz sets for this. 1. Flying monkeys are so violent, and 2. The sentiment is so me. LOL.
The Details: Visible Image Oz Flying Monkey, MFT Castle die and Mini Cloud Edges Stencil, Sizzix Tim Holtz Embossing Folder, Picket Fence Studios Blending Brushes, Versafine Onyx Black, Copics, Distress Oxide Black Soot and Weathered Wood, Distress Ink Black Soot
