Woodland Birthday

Winter birthday planning time!  So flippin' cute.  Started with stamping and watercoloring the animals.  Then I masked them and stenciled the background. A bit of spattered Copic Opaque White for snow and ready to make someone's day.

Cards in Envy Fire or Rain

Cards in Envy time!  We're asking that you feature fire or rain on your cards this fortnight.

A lot of my friends have reached the "hot" stage in life and I'm counting down the days until I do. Ugh! I first sponged the card using Distress Oxides and stamped the sentiment.  I then embossed the card front using a fire embossing folder before taking a waterbrush and removing some of the color to create more movement. I decided not to color the woman as the card had so much color going on anyway.  Now she really pops out.

Mod Santa

Pairing new dies with an image I colored last year that I found in the leftovers pile.  I love this particular color combination as well as the spattering of water and the Copic Opaque White.  It really adds depth. Bokeh.

Peaceful Scene

I worked up two cards using a die set from last year.  

• The first is watercolored with Zigs with a bit of sponging and Copic Opaque White.
• The second is watercolored with Peerless watercolors and uses an abandoned card front. Strangely I love the acetate stripes; it seems so busy but perfectly so.

Now this card is all about the leftovers.  The background, the cover die, the circle and the girl.  The only part that wasn't in the someday pile is the sentiment. Woo hoo!

Love and Joy

Ack!  I loooove this stamp!  I saw Jill Avery Foster's card and immediately had to grab it once I could find somewhere that still had it in stock (Ellen's).

I created a stencil using the Hello Bluebird Birch Tree dies to give me an outline to draw in the trees after I had stamped the bears. I used Zig markers except for the stamping of the bears and the sentiment. A spattering of Copic Opaque White made the snow.
