Neon Llamas
I've worked up two cards using a new llama stamp I picked up from Michael's thanks to Miss Sherri! The first uses, actually both, use Hero Arts Neon Ombre Ink. Fantastic, right? Super bright on white with a simple Sizzix snow embossing folder or a bit more subtle on Lawn Fawn plaid with a red iris. Love them both!

Coffee Lovers Winter Hop
It's that season again and time for Craftin Desert Divas to sponsor another Coffee Lovers Hop! How could I resist the new Brewed with Love set and sentiment from November release Skating By (which is the absolute perfect size for embossing)? Wait, better question: how can YOU?! These little critters are adorable, aren't they? So warm and cozy. Oh, dang, you know what would have been cute? If I had added just a touch of snow to the log. Next time!

CDD December Release Day 3
Oh my goodness, I can't believe we're already on Craftin Desert Release Day 3 and what a day is is! First up, I'm showcasing the new Better Together and Nested Heart Dies (I heart them so!). I also used the currently available Sending Die and Doodlebug Design Milk and Cookies 6x6 Paper Pad. The Nested Heart Die is perfect for designer paper and large enough to nest an image if you wanted. Swoon!
I'm entering this in Watercooler Wednesday #148 Feminine Anything Goes
On my second card I used Craftin Desert Divas Far Out, pairing it with my Gelli plate, acrylic paints, the Sorted Shapes 1 Stencil and Stitched In Circle Dies to create a planet. I used the Sorted Shapes 1 Stencil again to randomly sponge in stars. This is a great stencil to add accents to your cards and easily used to create entire backgrounds.
Btw, I think my favorite part of the Far Out set is how their hairs sticks out beyond the helmet. Just too much happiness to be contained!
I'm entering this in CAS Mix Up Dec 2017 (stamping, acrylic paints, stenciling, and more!)
The Details: Craftin Desert Divas Far Out, Better Together, Nested Heart Dies, Sending Die, Stitched In Circle Dies, Sorted Shapes 1 Stencil, Doodlebug Design Milk and Cookies 6x6 Paper Pad, Copics, Distress Squeezed Lemonade, Distress Oxide, VersaFine Onyx Black, Memento Tuxedo Black, Gelli Plate, Liquitex Acrylic Paints
Happy Birthday, Lisa!
Today is the birthday of my friend, Lisa Lara, who I don't get to see often enough (hope to see you on Friendsmas this weekend, Lisa!). I love her clean and simple but colorful style so tried to capture that for her birthday card. I hope you like it, girl! Have a great day!
Below is the list of those participating in the hop. Please stop by and see how each of us was inspired!

Dude. I've had this set since last Christmas with a specific person in mind for a card and that's as far as I got! We all know what that's like! LOL. I love the layout of this card, the flicky trees and his oh-so-cool iridescent goggles. Totally cool!

CDD December Release Day 1 & Mood Board
I'm doing double duty today and sharing with you a sneak of the upcoming Hugs and Kisses stamps, Hearts Galore Stencil and Nested Hearts Dies release that I worked up based on the current Social Media Mood Board Challenge (use #cddchallenge to enter).
I am loving this set so! The trolls are so fun and cute and whimsical. Adorable! The stencil rocks too! I've used it a couple of different ways during the new release and have ideas for more uses. Need more crafty time--I think we all wish that!
For the challenge, I was obviously drawn to the greens and reds as well as the glints of metallic--check out that colander. I took my cue for the color division from the jar with a pseudo-band and twine. Fun!
I hope you'll joined in the challenge and know you'll be checking out the makes from the rest of the DT. I assure you, they're fabulous!
The Details: Craftin Desert Divas Hugs and Kisses, Hearts Galore Stencil, Nested Heart Die, Memento Tuxedo Black, VersaFine Onyx Black, Ranger Multi Medium Matte, Distress Oxide, Copics, I think the washi is Freckled Fawn

Cards in Envy Jingle All the Way
It's Cards in Envy time again and this time we'd like to see a bell on your card. Could be the focus or an accent like on my card.
I brushed Distress Oxides onto my main panel then spattered with water. While that was drying I colored up Avery Elle holiday images from this year and last. I love how well they coordinate. I put together the card using a pine bough die and frame to contain the woodland critters. The snowflake tag was the perfect size for the sentiment and bells. Adorable!
I’m entering this in Shopping Our Stash 371 Snow Much Fun, Simon Says Wednesday Anything Goes
The Details: Lawn Fawn Tiny Tag Sayings and Winter Tag dies, Avery Elle Kitsch Christmas and Winter Woodland Wonders, Memory Box Pine Needle Border, Distress Oxides Broken China and Worn Lipstick, Copic Opaque White, Wink of Stella Clear, Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics

CDD -- Interactive Card Time
Hi Everyone! I'm sharing an interactive card with you today using Christmas Wishes, Snowflake Flurries Stencil, Fall Border Dies, and the Fancy Frames Dies. Did you spot Rudolph's blinking nose? Beep beep! LOL.
I started out with the basic Chibi light components (conductive copper tape, a watch battery and a Chibi light). I had already done a mock up of the card so knew where I wanted the light and "push here" point to be. I thus prepared the card panel and image by making small holes for the light to show through. It's not absolutely necessary to do that but I did want to make sure the light would be as bright as possible.
I had stamped the image twice--once for coloring and once on the card front to make it easier to see where the hole for the light and push point needed to be.
Next came the assembly of the light unit. I've done this a few times so have come up with cheats to help myself. These include using two layers of sticky-back foam to and dies to create the height needed for the components. Notice I had saved the diecut portion of the foam and used it to cover up the light except for that hole. I did this so the light would come only through the hole rather than lighting up the entire area there.
The Chibi light has a positive and negative side (noted in the photo) and you need to have a conductive copper line leading to/from both. Notice how I made a scored casing to hold the battery and to provide a place for the positive line to wrap up and over to reach the positive side of the battery. Also notice I had drawn where my card front opening was so I knew exactly how much space I had to work in.
Here you can see how the positive copper tape wraps over the scored casing. When the battery touches BOTH the positive and negative ends, the circuit is complete and the light will activate. Be sure to test that it works before you use the diecut foam to cover the components and finish up your card. By the way, I've had no difficulty with light activation when the foam covers the copper tape.
I assembled the card by adhering the front panel to the Chibi card base, stenciling the Snowflake Flurries stencil using Distress Oxide, adhering the two Fall Border Dies layers I had colored with Copics, and stamping the sentiment with VersaFine Onyx Black.
