Bear Witch

Were you expecting to see a sandwich? Bear-wich? LOL.  This WF set is adorable and I had to use it in a super cute and not-at-all-scary Halloween card.

Used Distress Inks to sponge and mask. The base is mounted on gray cardstock then Wink of Stella added for sparkles.

Grrrr-reetings, Creatures of the Night

Another Distress smeared and spattered background. The perfect sunset and time for Bunncula to come out and slay us with cuteness. I didn't get around to using this PPP set last year--I was a fool! Ack, just so so cute!  Take a look at the big version of the pic and you can just see the glitter in the stars. Used my favorite Scor-tape as the underlayment for that.

First Halloween Card of 2017

I posted yesterday on IG about my accidental discovery that smearing a Distress Oxide Ink background that's been spattered with water created a really cool effect. Well, I spattered it again and while that was drying started working on the bezillion other bits that make up this uber fun Halloween card. So flippin' cute!!!!!!!!

Fall is Here, Almost

Another Autumnal card.  Oh, that's right. I've been making them but am holding off on posting.  Well, you'll see them some day!  This one I decided to challenge myself with the TIME OUT speed stamping in mind.  Obviously I did not create this in 10 minutes or less because, as usual, my initial idea morphed into mega cuteness. LOL. I think this took me something like 2 hours. No idea. I was so absorbed in making it. Exactly the brain break I needed!

I'm entering this in TIME OUT #90 Autumn with the Optional Twist of Speed Stamping

The Details:  Waffle Flower Hooray, Lawn Fawn Leafy Tree Backdrop (leaves), Simple Stitched Hillside Borders, and Jump for Joy, Versamark, Ranger Gold Embossing Powder, Distress Ink Mustard Seed and Candy Apple, Distress Oxide Broken China and Twisted Citron

Miss Your Face, Beotch!

A quick little CAS card today inspired by CASology Bud.  Of course, I immediately thought of Bud from The Cosby Show. And then Psych. Finally my brain came around to this image and the fun snarky sentiment I picked up recently. Again, using my new favorite blue.

Cards in Envy Penny for Your Thoughts

It's Cards in Envy Challenge time!  This round we'd like you to use a thought or speech bubble on your card.

Don't have one?  Use a few shaped dies like I did to create your own!  My friend, Novell, is a huge Seahawks fan so I worked up this birthday card in team colors and included an homage to her love of baking, pups and books.  Did you notice the sentiment?  Novell instead of Novel?  How could I not?!

Happy Birthday, Big Sis!

My older sister's birthday is this weekend. She's not a card person but I am so there!  Cuteness overload!

I experimented a bit with the background, finally settling on Worn Lipstick clouds and Cracked Pistachio grass. I was hesitant to use my Copic over the Oxide grass but cleaned the nib right afterwards and it seemed fine.

I'm entering this in Naughty or Nice #42 Colors or On the Move Theme, Simon Says Wednesday Add a Sentiment, Fab N Funky #361 Anything Goes

I'd also like to remind you of the current The Heart Desires Challenge #15.

Ready, Set, Blow!

I will confess this is my favorite of this year's back-to-school cards!  So bright and happy and dotty. The background is Distress Inks and Oxide, naturally, overlaid with the MFT cover plate.  The pierced clouds are an Avery Elle die set I picked up a while back but first time I've used. Love them! Coloring up the dragon was interesting as I used blues I don't normally reach for. This has definitely made me appreciate those Copic B single digits more for sure.

Rooting for You!

One of my nephews is starting high school--blows my old mind! I'm going to transition to making a different kind of cute card for him.  Sigh.

This one features rootbeer bottles quickly sponged with Distress ink and Copic colored labels. I love this color combo on top of the blue--masculine yet fun and fresh.  Of course, the punny sentiments help with the cute factor--see, I'm sneaking in the cute.  Shhhh!
