Fangtastic
Finishing up the last few of my Halloween cards AND using up leftovers. Woo hoo! This one is using leftover diecuts and a stamp kit from 2017. I used a combo of sponging, watercolor, embossing and coloring on it.

Cards in Envy Favorite Holiday
This round at Cards in Envy we're wanting to see a card featuring your favorite holiday. I LOVE Christmas without a doubt. I also love Halloween but I definitely need more Christmas cards. Can't start too early on those!
I started by stamping the ME Frames and elves. I hadn't originally planned to cut them out but I hated the background I had worked up using Distress Oxides (too much color, for once). The snowflake paper reminds me of wallpaper, don't you think?
Notice how the picture frames don't quite line up on top. Just like real life!

Warm Memories
I thought about using this for a MnT for an upcoming crafty day but decided it didn't have enough customizability plus I don't think the gals especially like to sponge. Super cute in any case, however. I especially love the squirrel on the right--adorable.
I'm entering this in Paper Players #413 Leaves and Trees, Sunday Stamps #189 Feeling Fall Photo Inspiration, Fab n Funky #411 Autumn Colors
The Details: MFT Fall Friends, Lawn Fawn Landscape Leafy Tree Backdrop, Picket Fence and Fall Perfectly Plaid 6x6 Paper, Versamark, Ranger White Embossing Powder and Multi Medium Matte, Copics, Distress Oxide Tumbled Glass and Antique Linen, Memento Tuxedo Black

Alpacas for Mens
Sick of my alpacas yet? Damn straight, you're not! I went a bit more masculine with this card. However, I can't resist a bit of the glam so glittered up the snowpeaks and scalloped snow edges tho you can't tell in the pic. I wish Photoshop had a glitter setting. Oh, heck, probably does. LOL.
I'm entering this in the Male Room #95 The Great Outdoors, City Crafter #433 Into the Woods, Simon Says Wednesday Let's Get Ready for Christmas, HLS Anything Goes with Dies

SOSS #120 - P is for Pink Halloween
We're all about the pink and all about the Halloween this fortnight at The Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers. What a combo, huh? Easier than you may think to do.
For my card, I created a lovely Autumnal background using Distress Oxides. The skeleton was embossed on a piece of sponged cardstock that I had discarded from another project. The sentiment popped into my head the moment I saw this stamp. What question is scarier than this one? And I love the look at the owl's face: I dare you to answer. LOL!

Every Bit of Wonderful
Some of the recent Gelli prints aren't particularly suited as backgrounds for my style of cards but used as accents, they rock. I used one to cut out the flowers here. Reminder to future self: use either 80lb or deli paper for the prints as the 140lb used here was a pain to fussy cut. I used the Copic airbrush to create a quick background with a great fade. So much easier than sponging for me.

Positive Vibes
Crazy fun weekend with lots of crafting. Woo hoo!
This card was super easy--just a bit of coloring with Copics. I did fussy cut and raise the llama's head because I had intended to make it a Wobble then changed my mind. He's just so cute as is!

May All Your Wishes
I played with one of my birthday presents yesterday. Love this set so. I remember doing this when I was a kid and rubbing the dandelion flowers beneath our chins and if it left yellow it meant something or another. Fun times!
I started by sponging cardstock in green then using the LF grassy hillsides dies to cut them out. For the back hill, I used the negative of the die to sponge grass directly on the card base for added depth. I then colored the sky with my Copic air brush and B00. I set that aside as the water spatters dried. I next used by Scan N Cut to fussy cut the animals, coloring them with Copics. Turned out so cute!
I'm entering this in Seize the Birthday without optional sequin topping

CDD June Mood Board 1
There's still plenty of time to join us for the CDD June Moodboard. You can enter by joining the event in the CDD Gallery or tagging #cddmonthly.
For my card I used the CDD Friendship set paired with a sentiment from Far Out. Super cute, right?! To create the focal point I used Outdoor Landscape 2 and Stitched In Circle Dies. The card base is masked and sponged with Distress Oxide. Oh, so's the grass! I kept the flowers white so that the reds on the card would really pop out. Not my original intention tho. Stop by the CDD blog on Thursday, June 7, to read more about how I ended up with a red palette.

I'm Crushing Your Head
I couldn't resist creating a snarky card using my new MFT Rain or Shine set along with some classics. Any Kids in the Hall fans out there? "I'm crushing your head!" LOL. My current plan is to use this as a graduation card at the end of the summer when one of our students will be graduating.
This is a better example of how I created the cloud background with the base layer of a blue Distress Oxide then using the cloud stencil with more Oxide blues. I love the effect. I used the Spring Scene Builder dies because they're scaled smaller than the girl so she looks Gullivarian compared to the trees and road. That poor little Lilliputian. LOL
While I'm at it, don't forget about the current Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers #107 Umbrella challenge. As always, snark is optional!
I'm entering this in Time Out #107 Spring without One Layer Twist, Addicted to Stamps and More #287 Make Your Mark, Watercooler Wednesday #165 All About Occasions

Brighter Days
Took a moment to play with my new goodies today!
To create the clouds I first masked the card base then brushed on a base layer of Distress Oxide Salty Ocean. Then I stenciled the clouds by using Salty Ocean and Faded Jeans before spattering with a touch of water. Once that was dry, I stenciled the sun rays.
I wanted lots of yellow so decided to paper-piece the umbrella with a fun dotty paper; I did create some shading with Copics on it. Next I colored up rest of the image along with a couple of adorable ducks. Soooo cute! I added a diecut strip of grass but left it white for simplicity.
I'm entering this in MFT Sketch #379, Inkspirational 158 Rain, Addicted to Stamps and More #286 Anything Goes
The Details: MFT Rain or Shine, Puddle Jumper, Mini Cloud Stencil, and Radiating Rays, Distress Oxides, Doodlebug Springtime 6x6 Paper, Copics, Lawn Fawn Grassy Border die

Cards in Envy No Patterned Paper
Time for a new Cards in Envy challenge. You're not to use patterned paper on your card but you're certainly welcome to make your own as I did here. Aren't those tumbling cats the cutest? I love this chubby cat--just want to reach out and give her a tummy tickle then head to the ER for my scratches. LOL.

Gray Skies
I'm guesting over at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers where the theme for the current challenge is T for Technique. Just showcase a technique you haven't used in a while or your favorite one and you're all good.
I'm showcasing a gelli print technique I haven't used in a good long while and mixing it up by using a rubber stamp to impress the Seattle skyline. The background is so bold I left the image plain jane with the spot of yellow for the raincoat. So needed here in Seattle. The snarky sentiment, unfortunately, is so true too. LOL.
I hope you'll play along at the Sisterhood. Who doesn't love some snark?

CDD November Mood Board - Banner
For this project I was inspired by the CDD November Mood Board Social Media Challenge (use #CDDMonthly when you post to join in) to create a Fall banner for our fireplace. What's really fun is that from year to year I can expand on it with additional images, etc. Fun!
I used the Fancy Frames Dies to create the base for each banner section using really sturdy cardstock. I then cut designer paper using the same die set and adhered those to the bases. Next I started coloring images from Harvest Happiness, Timber, and Harvest Wishes. So cute! Note the holes were created using a WRMK Crop-A-Dile.
In some cases, I added Fall Harvest Sequins for a bit of bling.
On other panels I used diecuts from Stitched In Circles Dies and Party Dies for added interest.
The Details: Craftin Desert Divas Harvest Happiness, Timber, Harvest Wishes, Stitched In Circles Dies, Party Dies, Fancy Frames Dies, and Fall Harvest Sequins, Sakura Quickie Glue Roller Pen, Ranger Multi Medium Matte, 1/8" Scor Tape, Carta Bella Hello Fall 6x6 Designer Paper, Neenah 110lb Kraft Cardstock, Copics, Ranger White Enamel Accents
