CDD April Release Day 5

 

We're on the last day of the CDD April release which is sad but also great because the products are available today in the shop.  Woo hoo! Here I've done something a bit different by leaving the cutie from High Heels uncolored so that she really pops against that bold background. I inked her up in VersaFine Onyx Black to make the lines a really bold black. The sentiment is the new Hello Beautiful Dies stacked to create a shadow.  I added Ranger Glossy Accents to the sentiment as well as to the dots on the flowers for some shiny interest.

CDD April Release Day 3

We're mid-way through the CDD April Release and I'm loving every minute of it!  Remember how I talked about the versatility of the Star and Moon die the other day? This time I cut out the entire die so the cute bunny could swing from it. O. M. G. So cute!  The background uses the new Cloudy Sky stencil and Distress Oxide.  I love the combo of pink and gray, even using gray for the sentiment.

CDD March Release Recap 2

I did it! I created a winter holiday card in March. I am so far ahead of the Xmas game this year (knock on wood!).  I used the new Seasonal Fairies set, mounting that adorable winter fairy and fairy deer (eeee! so cute!) on white hearts so they would really stand out on the blue background.

To create the background, I used glossy white embossing paste with the stencil then sprinkled with my favorite glitter. I set that aside to dry. So pretty! After all of that, I realized I had forgotten to leave a clear spot for my sentiment so instead stamped that on a hill. I like this better than what I had in my head!

CDD March Release Recap

Oh, how I love this little scene. I'm featuring the now available Let's Do Lunch stamps and Flower Border Die, mixing them with other fabulous CDD dies. Can this get any cuter? Show me how, I ask you!

I started out with two layers of dirt, then a layer of grass, the fence, and finally the flower hillside, all mounted on a piece of happy blue designer paper. I HAD to add the carrots to emphasize the garden but also, doesn't it seem like the perfect thing for a bunny break? Yum!

Have you heard the buzz? This week is all about the Craftin' Desert Divas upcoming March release! Here I'm using the Bee Cakery set, placing the adorable bees on a circle backdrop so they pop on top of that bright and sassy watercolored background. Yellow makes me happy!

CDD March Release Day 2

O. M. G.  I love, love, love the March release.  Check out the Bright Horizons Stencil! Talk about the perfect backdrop for the new Seasonal Fairies. Swoon!

I did a bit of masking and sponging of the stencil then spattered with water. I wanted the black of the sentiment to be balanced but didn't want a whole black border so offset it a bit. I'm going to keep this in mind for the future!
