DB - Fall

Whimsy - Stampember Happy Pugmas

I am sooooo excited to be participating in the Stamptember Simon Says Stamp and Whimy Stamps collaboration.  Check out the Happy Pugmas set.  You can get it with outline dies too. It's so quirky and cute and ever so Whimsy style! 

I created one card to share with you today and am looking forward to making more for the holidays. So cute!

I stamped the Happy Pugmas images and masked them before using Distress Oxide Tattered Rose and Fired Brick with the Whimsy Brick Pattern Stencil to create a quick background.

Next I colored up the images using Copics. I love that derpy dog so much!

I diecut the front panel with a Wonky Stitched Rectangle Die.  I also used the thought bubble from the Comic Speech Bubbles Dies so we could hear what that dog is thinking.

It makes translating his Puppy Paws Dies woofs so easy.  LOL.  I sponged on a touch of Distress Oxide Mustard Seed, naturally, to the card base then stamped the Happy Pugmas sentiment.

Whimsy - Mountain Scene

A little change of pace from my Halloween streak with Whimsy Stamps today.  Oh! It can still be Halloween.  Let's assume the deer is zombified.  LOL.

I stamped images from the new Create a Scene Mountain and previous Create a Scene Forest sets to create a lovely nature landscape which I then watercolored with Zigs.

I diecut that using a Wonky Stitched Rectangle Die and adhered it to a card base.

I then stamped the inside of the card and included a sentiment from the Butterflies set.  Just gorgeous.

Whimsy - Gnome Witch

Isn't this little gnome witch cute?  Of course, she is!  She's part of the latest Whimsy Stamps release, in a set called Gnome Witch. 

To start the card I stamped the Checkerboard Doodles Background--love how that turned out.  Then I colored up the witch and kitteh.

I used the Boo Die as the sentiment. Hard to tell in the photo but that's done in ombre oranges.

Whimsy - Dolly

Are you afraid of dolls? They freak me out--it's those creepy eyes.  Plus various horror movies where the dolls are on the evil side. Shiver. 

Here I'm using the latest Whimsy release set Dead Dolly. She's creepy cute.  

I used the Forest Majesty Dies to create a mask and then airbrushed trees in the background.  I then colored up the Dead Dolly image to match.

To complete the scene, I used a Friend Die and a sentiment from Dead Dolly. See--not too scary at all!

Whimsy - Dracula

Ooh, the latest Whimsy Stamps release is so fun!  I love love love Halloween!  Here I'm using the new Scream in Vein stamps and Vampire 6x6 Paper.

I paired those with the Slimline Filmstrip Die, Gossip Girls and Comic Speech Bubbles Dies to create my own graphic novel scenes.

I added bats from the Dracula Going Batty Dies and the vampire teeth from Dracula Bite Me to finish up the scene.  So creepy cool!

Whimsy - Feed Me

I love the movie version of Little Shop of Horrors and about died when I received the Feed Me set from Whimsy Stamps.  Yassssssssssssss!  It's such an amazing set that coordinates so well with some of the rest of the release including the Halloween Expressions Stencil and Foolish Mortals Dies I used here.

I worked on the card front first, adding a base coat of Distress Oxide Chipped Sapphire, Wilted Violet and Shaded Lilac before using the  Halloween Expressions Stencil with DO Carved Pumpkin, Twisted Citron and Black Soot to add in the spooky fun faces.

Next I colored up the alien plant (that's totally Steve Martin the jerk dentist boyfriend he's snacking on--LOL). I adhered the image to the card front and embossed the sentiment then added the Foolish Mortals Dies. You've been warned!
