Whimsy - IG Slimline Hop
We're having an amazing Instagram Hop to showcase Whimsy Stamps' slimline dies. Whimsy Stamps is the innovator of slimline dies, having been the first company to manufacture and introduce dies designed to help you create those increasingly-popular, slimline cards.
To celebrate, you have the chance to win a $25 gift certificate to the store. The hop starts now on @whimsystamps account and is open until Monday, August 31st at midnight EST.
Read more about my card below before you start hopping!
I've used the Slimline Five Frames Die, removing the inner two sections to create a picture window on my cute Autumnal scene featuring Beaver Birthday, Mountain Majesty Dies, Wavy Nested Frames Dies, and Fall Dangle Stencil.
I even went so far as to add Glossy Accent raindrops to the acetate. How fun!

Whimsy - Sugar Skulls
I think sugar skulls are amazing and was so excited to see they are the focus of the current Whimsy Stamps release. Woo hoo!
I thought a sort of Nested Hexagon banner shaped card would work really well with this Sugar Skulls cat which I colored up with Copics.
I used a piece of Sugar Skulls 6x6 Paper for the secondary hexagon and leftover Calico 6x6 Paper with the Bold ABC sentiment.

Whimsy - Boo
I hope my card featuring some of the latest Whimsy Stamp releases doesn't scare you too too much! Bwahaha!
My favorite part of this card? The blood is actually a repurposing of the Honeycomb Drips Stencil. Swoon!!!!! It made it so easy for me to design the rest of the card with the ghosts from the Boo Dies, the Chills Word Dies and Nature's Skeleton.

Whimsy - Happy Halloweed
Can you believe it's already August and Halloween is just around the corner already. Geesh!
Thank goodness Whimsy Stamps is on it and has come out with the first of many Halloween releases!
I'm using the new Halloweeds set (Halloweeds--ha!). I stamped and colored the image with Copics then masked it so I could airbrush the Flight of the Butterflies Stencil grass. I also sponged the Brick Pattern Stencil with Distress Oxide Weathered Wood.
As final touches I embossed the sentiment and diecut the front panel with Wonky Stitched Rectangle Die.
Be sure to check out the other new goodies in the Whimsy shop. I hope you've been saving your pennies!

DB - Stay Cool
Head on over to the Doodlebugs blog to read more about these sassy little cards. Stay cool, my friends!
Whimsy - Fairy Wishes
Isn't this new Whimsy Stamps Fairy Dreams image adorable? I like her size too. Not too small that I get frustrated going outside the lines as I try to color the smaller areas. Woo hoo!
My first step for the card was to cut out the new Slimline Stars die (looooove!). I then covered the back with a piece of Scor-Tape, leaving the interior of the stars sticky and ready for lots of Doodlebug Designs glitter from my stash.
So shiny and pretty! I folded and adhered the Slimline Stars panel over a card base, scattering some of the leftover stars here and there.
To finish up the card, I colored the Fairy Dreams image using Copics. I then stamped the sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black and used a Quick Strips Die to form the banner.
I'm sure you want to see more of the new release, so why don't you take a gander at the other goodies in the Whimsy shop.

Whimsy - Gnome Birthday
The first August release for Whimsy Stamps is today and it is soooo cute! As usual!
I used the Mountain Majesty Dies cut out of white for the trees and cabin. I cut it again using a piece of Calico 6x6 Paper then trimmed off all but the hill. A piece of Comics 6x6 Paper are the stars.
I next colored up the Gnome Birthday image. Isn't he adorable?
My last step was to stamp the Alphadoodles sentiment using Stazon since the paper is shiny and I didn't want it to smear. Oh, wait, I guess my last step was to add a bit of white pigment highlights to the letters.
