SOSS #115 - J is for Junk

Oh, man, our challenge this fortnight at the Sisterhood is J is for Junk.

Image may contain: 1 person, standing, tree, plant, outdoor and text

I have to admit I struggled with it so.  There are so many things you can upcycle and recycle I was overwhelmed until I saw a piece of acetate on my desk.  I rescued a box of old school transparencies from a place I used to work and now use it for getting inky, shakers, and now as water!

I used the fat tip of my Copics to create the water then die cut the waves.  The inked side goes toward the card because it is possible to rub the ink off. I love that the water is shiny and transparent so you can see the scene without a lot of layers.

Oh, to all you fellow IBS-ers out there, this card is for us!

I'm entering this in TIME OUT #114 Home Sweet Home Photo Inspiration

The Details:  Picket Fence A Dose of Vitamin Sea, Love Cynthia Happy Girls Gone Bad, MFT Ocean Waves, Memento Tuxedo Black and Rich Cocoa, Ranger Glossy Accents, Copics

  1. Way to recycle the acetate into water, and make a pretty flourish stamp look like shit! You go girl! LOL!

  2. It's beautiful, and I laughed out loud at the look of sheer bliss on the whale's face, he must have been holding that in for far too long!

  8. Another poo card for our challenge....I love it!! You know how much I love cards that are a bit more 'risque' and this one is brilliant. Your colouring is always perfection and love how you created the sea with all the different shades of blue. The whale looks so happy and so am I you joined us at TIME OUT!

  9. Well, this is brilliant! I too have a box of cast-off acetate transparencies, and must try something like this. Love the design and of course the sentiment. :P

  10. You just made my whole week! I'm still laughing out loud. To those of us with IBD and IBS it helps to laugh at the "unmentionables" that happen to us. That's why I have a necklace with an outhouse on it. My gastroenterologist gets a kick out of it every time I wear it for an appointment. Thanks for sharing your brilliant, funny, beautiful card. It's perfect.
