Ground Control to Major Tom

Masculine cards are haaaaaard! But I made two this weekend. What, what? One turned into a birthday card for my brother--later on that one--then this one for a friend's husband.  I really like the effect of the oxide inks--mixed them with regular Distress Inks and a chalk ink too for the darker colors.  Very cool planet. A spattering of Copic Opaque White for the textured stars--love that stuff!

I'm enter this in Seize the Birthday Anything Goes, Shopping Our Stash #301 Back to Basics - Fussy Cut, Happy Little Stampers Mixed Media Splats, Cardz 4 Guys #168 Inspired by Film, Book or Music (Bowie's Ground Control to Major Tom)

The Details:  MFT Space Explorer and Pierced Circle die, Distress Inks and Oxide Inks, Versamark, STampendous Detail Fine White Embossing Powder, Copics, Copic Opaque White

  1. Fab card, it's certainly not a Space Oddity, early Bowie songs were a large part of my formative years! Love the little spaceman and the fab planet and space background.
